Hello everyone!! Beau is home and doing great!!! Dr. Gilman told them this morning his white cell count was so high they were able to get enough stem cells for 9 transplants; however, they separated them into 6 batches or bags. The older Beau gets the more stem cells he would need for a transplant. So, they preapred 6 bags instead of 9. This way they will be sure to have plenty of stem cells per batch if he needs more therapy when he gets older. They removed his hickman and other line this morning and then they headed home. They got in town around 12:30. Mommy and Beau were tired so they took a nap while daddy ran some errands. Parham has a big tractor and it was at the house. It hasn't been started in a while so he went out to start it and drive it around a little. Beau wanted to go with him so Jen put his hat and coat on and he rode around on the tractor with daddy. He played this afternoon and was eating pretty well. Jen will call the clinic tomorrow to get the schedule for next week. They plan to have a nice quiet weekend at home before they get back down to business next week.

Jeremiah 17:7 But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.

We continue to put our faith and trust in the Lord. He has a plan for Beau and it will be revealed in his time. Beau had a fantastic visit to Chapel Hill. His white counts were thousands higher than necessary and that was from God and all the prayers that were going up for him. Our little warrior has enough stem cells in storage for 6 transplants if needed. Once again this week our Beau was blessed. Thank you all so much for your continous prayers. They had a safe trip there and back and our little buddy is doing great. We pray for a good weekend at home so they can catch up on their rest and be ready to face the next round of chemo. Words not cannot express how much all of you mean to us. Your prayers keep us going each day. We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful people praying for us. God Bless!!

Good evening everyone!! Beau had his stem cells harvested today and everything went great. They started around 10:30 this morning and finished around 2 pm. His white cell count was over 300 which was even higher than yesterday. They could have harvested what they needed in a shorter period of time but decided to go ahead with the time they had scheduled. As it turned out, they harvested enough stem cells to do 6 transplants. Dr. Gilman said they would have plenty in case they needed to do more therapy down the road. Beau will to be put back to sleep tomorrow to have his lines removed. It will be done early tomorrow morning and then they will be able to come home. Praise the Lord!! He will have a few days home before he has to report back to PCMH for his next round of chemo.

Philippians 4:19 Any my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. God met all of Beau's needs today. His white count was much higher than it needed to be which allowed them to harvest enough stem cell for 6 transplants. Beau came thru the whole process just like a warrior. All the doctors, nurses and other staff were wonderful and he even received a visit from the Dean of the Medical School. Our precious little boy was well taken care of. Thank you Lord for your power in every part of Beau's life today. We praise you and give you all the glory. Please be with Beau tomorrow as he once again has surgery to remove the hickman and other line. We pray they have a safe trip home and Beau will have a fantastic rest of the week. God Bless!!

Hey everybody! Quick update - Beau is in the OR - the surgeon came out and said that they are finished placing his line and Dr. Gilman is getting ready to do a bone marrow biopsy (he decided to do this, since he had not had one since he was diagnosed). The surgeon said he is doing well. We are just sitting here waiting. I am going to post some pics from this morning. Will update again later. Thanks for all the prayers! Love to everyone!

9:30 pm - Beau did very will with the bone marrow biopsy. They finally got into a room late this afternoon. He was doing fine just wanted mommy to hold him. Dr. Gilman was very pleased with Beau's white counts. They were much higher than they needed to be to do the harvest so that is wonderful Praise God. They will harvest enough to do 4 transplants that way they will have extra. It will take approximately 4-5 hours for the harvest. Beau will have to go to a special room to have the harvest done. If all goes well and they are able to remove the line and hickman after the harvest, Beau might get to come home tomorrow night. If not then, on Thursday.

Romas 8:25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. We pray and hope Beau will do well with the stem cell harvest tomorrow. His family and friends will wait with faith and patience until we get word that he has finished and all is well. We ask the Lord to guide the doctors and nurses as they work with Beau tomorrow. We pray Beau's angels will surround him and watch over him as he goes thru the process. We pray they all get a good nights sleep tonight so they will be ready to face the long day ahead of them tomorrow. Thank you Lord for their safe trip to Chapel Hill today and for bringing Beau thru the surgery and bone marrow biopsy. Thank you once again Lord for all the wonderful people that continue to pray for Beau and his family. These prayers are what get us thru each day. God Bless!

Good evening all! Good news - Beau's CT scan shows there has been a slight reduction in the size of the tumor. Praise God!!! It also showed he had a small bruise in his bladder. One of the chemos can cause that problem. We aren't sure if that is what caused him not to be able to urinate on his own. He was very uncomfortable with the foley catheter last night so they finally took it out this morning around 6 am. He had a very wet diaper around noon so things seemed to be working today. We found out around 2 pm today that Beau will be leaving for Chapel Hill tomorrow morning around 6 am. His white count was up to where they wanted it and he had a negative blood culture so the infection is gone. He will have minor surgery tomorrow around noon to insert the port that the stem cell harvest will be done thru. The stem cell harvest will be done on Wednesday. If all goes well, they will be able to get what they need the first time. If they do, then the ports will be taken out on Thursday. The plan is to take out Beau's hickman as well since he's been having problems with it. Hopefully, he will be able to come on on Friday. He will take antibiotics by mouth when he comes home. Next week as soon as they can get the surgical team scheduled at PCMH, they will put another hickman in at a different site. Then, he will start his next round of chemo. So as you can see we had a very busy afternoon running around trying to get everything ready to go. Dr. D said it's like having a baby you wait and wait and all of a sudden you have to go.

Psalm 54:2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.

We pray that Beau, Jennifer and Parham will have a safe trip to Chapel Hill tomorrow. We pray that all witll go well with the surgery to insert the port. Lord, we pray that things will go smoothly with the stem cell harvest and that Beau won't have any pain. Please be with the doctors and nurses as they work on Beau over the next few days. Thank you God for our precious Beau and we we pray your blessings on him. Amen! God Bless!

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms. Beau continued to have some fever Friday night into Saturday. His blood cultures did show he had another infection in his blood as well as the skin around his Hickman. Dr. D told them there was a way to put antibiotics in his hickman to help with that so I assume they will do that the next time he goes home. He continues on antibiotics, fluids and TPN. His white count bottomed out and has started back up. I believe she said it was around 1800 yesterday. They started double dosing his GCSF. Jen changed his diaper last night around 10 pm. Beau was fussy around 5 am this morning and woke them up saying hurt. He had not wet all night and his little tummy was bloated. The resident on call checked him and said his bladder was full so they put the foley catheter in. Dr. D decided to do A CT Scan today to try to see what was going on. It was after lunch before they took him down to do the scan. I talked to Jen around 5 and they had not heard anything. She wasn't sure if Dr. D would come back tonight or just talked to them in the morning. He has had diarrhea today but the contrast he had to take for the CT scan does that to him. When he didn't have fever over the weekend, he was acting ok and would play some.

Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick. We want Beau to be better. We rejoice when he has such a good week but our hopes drop when he spikes a fever and has to go back to the hospital. We believe that God will heal Beau but waiting for Him to do it is quite different. Sometimes it's hard to wait but we MUST continue to believe God is going to heal Beau. Genesis 18:14 Is anything too hard for the Lord?

Jennifer is working tonight so please pray for Beau and daddy to have a good nights rest and for Jennifer to have a good night at work. Please pray that the CT scan will show good results. Let's pray that the foley can come out soon and Beau will be able to go to the bathroom on his own. We pray his white count will continue to rise and he will be able to go to Chapel Hill on schedule. Thank you Lord for this wonderful Mother's Day. Thank for your our precious children. God Bless!!

Friday, May 11, 12:08 PM Grammy
Friday 4 pm. Jennifer woke up this morning about 4 am and noticed Beau was breathing heavy. She felt him and he was hot so she took his temperature and it was 102+. He woke up and was fussy for a few minutes but went back to sleep. She went ahead and got up and packed their bags and got ready to go to the hospital. She called the clinic and they said to bring him in. She did and they drew his blood for the blood work and sent him on over to the hospital. His fever was still 102+ around 9:30. The area where the hickman goes into the skin and above it is red and puffy. Dr. D said he appeared to have an infection in his skin. They will know more when they get the blood results back. They started him on anitibiotics, fluids and tylenol. His fever went down some but was back up to 102+ around 1 pm. They couldn't give him anything else for the fever at that point. They hope the antibiotics and fluids will bring it down. I will give you an update once I talk to Jennifer again.

10 pm I talked to Jennifer about an hr. ago. Beau's fever got up to 103.5 but has finally come down and is now around 99. They increased his dosage of tylenol and he's had several rounds of antibiotics and continues to get fluids. It looks like it's finally working. He slept a lot this afternoon so he got some good rest. I could hear him in the background talking and playing. Jennifer and Beau have made friends with several of the other patients. One sweet teenager girl has really taken to Jennifer and Beau. She calls Jennifer to check on him when she's not at the hospital. She has been at the hospital receiving her treatments and had brought Beau a present from her recent trip to the beach. She was in visiting him and I could hear Beau talking to her so I know he was feeling better. He is such a mighty warrior. He may be only 22 1/2 months old but he is such a brave warrior.

Ephesians 6:10-11 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. (cancer)
Philippiams 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Lord we thank you for our precious Beau. We thank you for the healing that is taking place in his little body. We pray your hedge of protection around him. We pray that the antibiotics kick in quickly and the infection will be gone from his body. We pray his white counts start rising quickly and he will continue to eat and gain weight over the next few days. Thank you God for your grace and mercy that is new every day. And, we thank you Lord for everyone that continues to pray for our little warrior. We ask this in your precious son's name. Amen!

Friday, May 11, 02:28 AM Grammy
Good morning all and Happy Friday! Beau had another great day yesterday. He & mommy rested yesterday morning since mommy worked the night before. He got up and had a good lunch and hung out with mommy yesterday afternoon. Beau, mommy and daddy went to a little league game last night. The doctor said it would fine since he would be outdoors and not in an enclosed area. His counts are dropping as expected. They should bottom out this weekend and start their climb back up by Monday. He will have his blood drawn again today so Jen will know what his counts are later today. They go to the clinic on Monday for another check. The plan for now is they will probably go to Chapel Hill next Sunday and report to the hospital on Monday. He has to have another line put in for this process.

Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord

Waiting is not always easy it often requires much patience. We have been doing a lot of waiting over the last 6 months and will continue to do so. We wait to see how this round of chemo goes. We wait to see how he does after the chemo. We wait to see how his counts drop and if he's going to spike a fever this time. Wait, Wait, Wait. While we wait let us wait in prayer. Let us call upon God, lay our fears and worry at His feet, tell him how hard some of our days are and plead His promise of help and healing. Let us praise Him and thank Him for all His blessings. Let us wait in faith knowing God is our Father and will take care of us.

Please pray that Beau has a good weekend, that he will continue to eat well and gain weight, that he won't spike a fever and can enjoy this time at home and just be a little boy having fun like he is supposed to. we willc continue to pray that his counts go back up quickly and reach the highest level they can so he will be ready for the stem cell harvest. Thanks to everyone from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers. We know Beau has had such a good week because of all the prayers going up for him. God hears and is listening. God Bless and have a great weekend!

Wednesday, May 09, 04:48 PM Grammy
Good evening and Happy Wednesday! Thank the Lord there isn't a lot of news today. Beau continues to do well. We have been so blessed that he's had a good week. He did wake up crying last night. Jen isn't sure why but he calmed down after watching a little Barney (they are about to overdose on Barney). He continues to eat well Praise God. The Home Health Care nurse came today and drew blood so we should know by tomorrow how his counts are. Pat, the Bone Marrow Coordinator, from UNC-CH called today to discuss Beau's trip to Chapel Hill. Jennifer was at a previously scheduled appt. so she will call Pat tomorrow to work out the details. Jennifer will also be talking to Kathy, the social worker as well. She will help make the arrangements for their stay in Chapel Hill. Beau is receiving the GCSF but his counts will still bottom out. Once they start back up and reach a certain point, the dosage of GCSF will double.

Habakkuk 2:2-3 Then the Lord answered me and said:...There is still a vision for the appointed time...if it seems o tarry, wait for it: it will surely come, it will not delay.

Beau's whole family has been going thru a lot of changes over the last 6 months. We've all had to readjust our lives and what was once the norm has changed. It's been a journey that has been a learning experience, a journey that has brought us closer to God, and a journey that has shown us how kind, compasionate and caring people can be. We are taking this journey one step at a time - one day at a time. As Dr. Grossi says, we will talk about today not the weeks ahead. One thing we know for sure is that God is constantly with us, guiding us and giving us the inner strength to meet each new challenge, each new day. God has a plan for Beau's life for all our lives. It will be revealed in His time. We will wait - God's timing is perfect.

Jennifer is working tonight so pray for her to have a good night at work. Also pray for daddy and Beau to have a restful and peaceful night. We pray Beau's count will bottom out quickly and start their rapid climb back up so he can go to Chapel Hill and get his stem cells harvest. This is his next big hurdle. Thank you God for all the precious family and friends that continue to check on Beau daily and pray for him. These prayers continue to keep the family strong and these prayers are the reason Beau is having such a good week. I pray you all have a wonderful evening. God Bless each and everyone of you!!!

Hello everyone!! Not much news today. Beau had another good day at home. He continues to do well on the TPN and his appetite was good today. Jen got the news Beau's white count was still good and his red cell count was down a little. They will draw blood again tomorrow and recheck his counts. He and mommy had a quiet day today just hanging out at home together.

Lets continue to pray that Beau will continue to have a good week. Jennifer has to work tomorrow night so pray she gets a good nights rest tonight. Beau seems to be gaining some weight with the TPN and food he is eating so let us pray that he continues to do so.

John 13:7 You do not relaize now what I am doing, but later you will understand. We do not understand why things have happend like they have since November but God does. He is in total control. We must continue to trust and have faith in Him each and every day. God Bless!!

Monday, May 07, 05:47 PM Grammy
Good Monday evening! Beau, mommy and daddy are all so happy to be home. It was so good to sleep in their own bed last night and Beau and mommy slept late this morning. Beau did well with his TPN last night. Jennifer hooked him up at 6 pm and he slept with it during the night. He came off it at 6 am this morning. Jennifer has learned how to do almost everything but draw blood. If she learns to do that, she could get another degree from PCC. ha! ha! Receiving the TPN at night seems to be working well because Beau seems to have more of an appetite during the day. He ate the most today than he has in a long time. Kayla and I went to see him this afternoon and he had chocolate all over his face when we got there. He had pizza for lunch and a few M&Ms for snack. The Home Health Care nurse came and drew his blood so they could check his counts. He is taking several medications while at home and jen is administering those. If the rest of the week goes as well as today, Beau will have a good week.

Psalm 100:2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful song.
Habakkuk 3:18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.

We have so much to be thankful for today. Our brave little warrior is home. He is feeling good, eating well and just enjoying life. He has been blessed with so many wonderful people that are continuing to pray for him and for this we are truly grateful. We know we have some hard days ahead of us but for today we will rest in God's peace, love and grace. We pray for Beau to continue to have a good week, that he will continue to eat well and gain a little weight. We know his counts will bottom out but we pray that God will keep his little body strong and he won't spike a fever. We pray for Jennifer to get some good rest this week. She has to work Wednesday and Friday night. We pray for good health for Jennifer and Parham. Thank you God for all the wonderful people praying for this family. I pray you richly bless each and everyone of them. God Bless!

Good evening!! Hope everyone had a good weekend. Beau had a good weekend. He finished up his chemo yesterday and tolerated it very well this time. He was in a good mood yesterday and ate pretty well. He received his TPN last night and will continue to do so at home. The Home Health Care nurse was coming to their house tonight at 6 pm to show Jennifer how to hook up the TPN to the pump. He will get it nightly from 6 pm to 6 am. She will come to the house Monday, Wednesday and Friday to draw blood so they can keep a check on his counts. We know they will bottom out this week. Jennifer plans to keep him at home this week in a quiet environment so he can rest. As long as he doesn't have any fever he can stay at home. We pray the TPN will boost his metabolism so he will want to eat during the day. Jennifer went to the cafeteria late last night on her break and saw Beau's nurse. She told her he had been so sweet and happy and helped her everytime she went in to check on him. He has been such a good boy this time.

Isaiah 30:15 ...in quietness and trust is your strength... Please pray that all goes well this week at home that he won't run any fever and will eat good during the day. Pray Jennifer, Parham and Beau all get a good nights rest each night. Jennifer works again this Wed. Thanks for all the continued prayers. We love guys. God Bless.

Saturday, May 05, 07:02 AM Grammy
Happy Saturday to all! Thank God there isn't a lot of news to tell you. Beau had another good day on Friday. As of last night around 7:30, he had tolerated his chemo very well this time. I haven't talked to Jennifer this morning but hope he made it threw the night without getting sick. He finishes up his chemo today. He did receive a blood transfusion which has become the norm. They wanted to get him ready to go home tomorrow. He is still receiving the TPN and will continue to do so while he is home. Hopefully, he will gain a little weight over the next week. He's eating but not as much as we would like but then again he is not a big eater. They did several tests yesterday that needed to be done before he goes to Chapel Hill to have his stem cells harvested. He did go to the playroom yesterday and played with the play dough. He really acted the best yesterday than he has in a while. He was "perky" and more active. Jennifer was on call last night and had to go in. He was not a happy camper when she left. He and daddy had another guy's night last night. Jennifer is scheduled to work again tonight. I know she will be exhausted by the time tomorrow rolls around. It will be good for them to get back home and then she can really rest.

Please pray for Jennifer that she can make it thru one more night at work. She was very tired yesterday afternoon. Pray that Beau continues to do well from the chemo. We also pray that once he starts the GCSF his counts won't take long to shoot up so he can go to Chapel Hill and get his stem cells harvested. We want to get that hurdle behind us.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you. He will never let the righteous fall. We know God is in control of this situation. Beau is His child and He will take care of him. Our confidence is in the Lord. Thank you everyone for continuing to pray for Beau. his mommy and daddy. These prayers help to keep them strong. God Bless!

Hello everyone!! Beau had another good day and quiet day today. Jennifer tried resting this morning so Beau just watched cartoons. They had to put an IV in his hand so he could receive all his chemo. As you may recall, one of the drugs can't be mixed in with the others so it is given thru a separate IV. It was giving Beau problems so they decided to move it to the other hand. Of course, Beau didn't like it and fussed a little but all in all he was a brave little warrior. After they finished, he started saying "ride, ride" so Jennifer got the little green car and Grammy pushed him around the nurses' station for 30 min. while mommy went and got her errands done. He had taken his nausea medicine right before we starting riding so the constant motion made him sleepy. We went back to the room and he went out like a light and slept for 1 1/2 hrs. He continues to receive his TPN, anitibiotics and fluids.

Dr. Grossi told Jennifer if all continues to go well and he doesn't spike any fever he will be able to go home Sunday. We know his counts will drop and bottom out sometime next week but Dr. Grossi said it would be ok for him to be home. Jennifer will start administering the GCSF drug at home to help bring his white count back up. He will get double doses this time since he will be going to Chapel Hill in a couple of weeks to have his stem cells harvest. Dr. Grossi will talk to Dr. Gilman tomorrow to get all the details. Jennifer and Parham know what to do as far as being cautious when he goes home and he may have to have "no visitors" for a few days but Dr. Grossi feels he will be happier at home. Of course, if he starts a fever he will have to go back to the hospital. He will also be receiving the TPN nourishment at home. Home Health Care will come to the house and show Jennifer how to administer it. They feel it will be best for him to continue to get that nourishment since he's not a big eater.

Psalm 146:5 Happy are those....whose hope is in the Lord their God. We continue to stand firm on our faith in God. We know He will heal Beau in His time and in His way. We thank God for His many blessings over the last 5 months. We pray that God will richly bless all the people that are praying for our little warrior. We give thanks for so many wonderful family and friends. I pray that God will continue to give Jennifer the strength she needs to meet each day and what it brings. She has been such a shining example and has shown others what faith and trust in God is. Please pray that Beau will continue to tolerate this chemo and won't be sick. We also continue to pray his appetite will pickup when he goes home. Thanks so much to everyone for their continued love and prayers. God Bless!

Good morning all. Sorry I didn't give you an update last night. Beau had a good day yesterday. It was a quiet day for him and mommy. Jennifer had to work last night so they rested alot yesterday and just took it easy. Everything was ok with his counts yesterday and his blood so he was able to start chemo. When I left him last night at 8 pm, he was still doing well. He ate some yesterday and is still receiving his TPN. I missunderstood Jennifer this round of chemo is the same dosage as the last time. He handled it pretty well last time so we're praying he will this time. He had a few other things going on last time that made him not feel well and he doesn't have those things wrong this time so hopefully he won't feel too bad from the chemo this time. He was such a sweet boy yesterday and was so cooperative everytime the nurses came in to check on him. They all said how sweet and helpful he was yesterday.

Please pray that he will handle this round of chemo well and not get sick. Pray he will eat more so he can gain a little weight and put some meat back on his bones. Also, pray for Jennifer. She is on call tomorrow night and is supposed to work Saturday night as well. And, please continue to pray that God gives Jennifer, Parham and beau the strength they need to make it thru the days ahead.

Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times....
Pslam 62:1 My soul finds rest in God alone...

God Bless and have a wonderful day today.

Good morning!! Sorry I didn't give you an update last night. Beau had a good day yesterday. He and mommy rested and had a quiet day since Jennifer had to work last night. Everything was ok yesterday so he was able to start his chemo. When I left him last night about 8 pm he was still doing well. He was such a sweet boy yesterday and was so helpful when his nurses came in to check him. Jen said he took his own medicine with the syringe yesterday and always held up his little arm when they took his temp. He ate some yesterday and was still receiving his TPN last night. I guess I misunderstood Jennifer. The strength of this chemo is the same as the last. He is getting the same drugs/same strength this time. The next time he will receive 2 different drugs. Hopefully, he will do well this time and not get sick. He was sick a little last time but not bad but he had a few other things going on then that he doesn't have now.

Please pray he will do well during this round of chemo and won't get sick. We pray he will eat more so he can gain a few pounds and his body will keep strong. Please pray for Jennifer to get good rest. She is on call Friday night and is supposed to work Saturday night. Pray for Parham as well while he stays alone with Beau.

1 Thessalonians 1:1 ..Grace and peace to you. Hope everyone had a great day today. Beau had a good day. He was still sleeping when I got there this morning. He woke up when Jennifer was getting up and it made him so mad that he slung a fit. Jennifer had to bathe him and we changed the sheets and he was crying up a storm. Jen finally got him settled in the bed. He sat there a minute and started laughing the little scamp. He kept asking for tea and milk so she finally told him to raise his hand to show her which one he really wanted. She said milk then tea and he didn't raise his hand. Then he raised his hand and said I wanna go ride. He is a mess. She was able to take him for a ride in the little green car. He enjoyed his time outside. Kayla and I went to visit him this afternoon. Jen pulled up the Disney channel on her computer and played some music for them and they danced and sang. He would laugh and act silly. They had a good time.

His counts are about the same they haven't dropped thank the Lord. He didn't have any fever today. They took some blood this morning and if his blood cultures don't grow anything by tomorrow and he doesn't have any fever between now and then they will start his chemo tomorrow. He continues to receive his fluids and TPN. He is eating a little and continues to drink his pediature.

Please continue to pray for his body to stay strong when he starts the chemo. This round will be stronger than the last. We pray he will be able to tolerate this round of chemo without much sickness. Jennifer is working tomorrow night so pray they get a good nights rest tonight and that she will be able to get a nap tomorrow afternoon.

1Thessalonians 1:2-3 We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers. God Bless.

Good evening all! Beau had a pretty good day today. His fever went up last night and he got sick once. They didn't sleep as well as they could have so they slept in this morning. All his counts were about the same as when he left the hospital. I think his platlets were different and his electrolyets were low. He did have an infection in his blood. It was the same as the last time so he's still is own worst enemy. He continues on antibiotics, fluids, and they started him on TPN at 5 today. He probably won't start chemo until at least Wednesday. They want to get the infection under control first. He ate a little pizza today, drank his pediasure and some tea. He kept on about tea so Jennifer had to go to the cafeteria and get him some. When his nurse came to take his temperature this morning, he held up his arm and waited. He's learned what he needs to do. He talked more than usual this afternoon. His room this time has a good view of the parking lot and Stantonsburg Rd. so he enjoyed sitting and watching all people and cars this afternoon.

Please pray the antibiotics kick in quick and knock the infection out. Also, please pray the TPN helps put a little more weight on him and they he will eat well over the next couple of days before he starts the chemo. Pray they get a good nights rest tonight. He continues to be such a brave little warrior. He may be little but he is such a strong little boy. The prayers are really helping him.

Romas 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, sot that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

May God richly bless each and everyone of you. Thank you so very much for all your prayers and love.

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. Praise God Beau has been able to go and do and have a great time the last couple of days. He and mommy slept late Friday and got somethings done around the house. Grandad & Grandma Miller stayed with him Friday night while mommy and daddy went to Parham's cousin's wedding rehersal and dinner. Saturday was Kayla's birthday party. Beau got to go and was able to stay the whole time. Great Aunt Cindy and Great Uncle Rod came from Lexington to see Beau and attend Kayla's birthday party. Great Grandma & Grandpa Miller came as well so Beau got to see them again. There were a lot of family and friends at Kayla's party so Beau got to visit with them all. He spent a lot of the time watching everyone but he did get down and play for awhile. He loved the cake. chips and other snacks. Mommy and Daddy had to go to the wedding Saturday night so I stayed with him while they were gone. They needed that time together and enjoyed themselves. Beau and Grammy played and watched some TV until he fell asleep. He had a little fever Friday and Saturday night but it went away when he took tylenol. Jen woke up about 5 am this morning and he was hot and his fever was 102. He was asleep so she didn't wake him up. She gave it a couple of hours and it had gone done to 100.4 without any tylenol. He's cutting teeth so we don't know if that is what is or what is causing it. If he was feeling ok, they were going to go to the river for a little while this afternoon. It was a good week but short week for Beau and mommy. He reports back to PCMH tomorrow at 9 am to start the next round of chemo.

SUNDAY -- 6:45 PM BEAU RETURNS TO THE HOSPITAL WITH 104 FEVER. PLEASE SEE NEWS FLASH ABOVE FOR DETAILS.

Hebrews 10:22 - Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith..
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Please continue to pray for Beau as he goes back to the hospital to start his next round of chemo. This round will be stronger than the last. Pray his body will be able to tolerate it and he won't be sick. Please continue to pray the tumor is dying and shrinking. Thank you God for the good week Beau has had at home that he was able to spend time with family and friends and help make some wonderful memories. Thank you God for this precious little boy that we all love so much. God Bless!!

Good evening all! Beau is still doing great today. He and mommy slept late this morning. Then we took Kayla to lunch at Logans for her 3rd birthday. Julie & Nathan came along as well. Beau & Kayla colored and chowed down on those wonderful yeast rolls. Beau ate 1 1/2 rolls, a little steak and a little chicken. It was the most he has eaten in a while. He really acted like he was enjoying himself. Beau and mommy went home and rested for the rest of the afternoon since Jennifer had to work tonight. It was just a nice normal kind of day for our little warrior. Thank God!! Beau & daddy are just hanging out tonight - guys night.

Please continue to pray that Beau will eat well over the next few days and put a little meat on his bones. Pray his body will get stronger and be ready for the chemo next Monday. There are several things Jennifer wants him to be able to do over the next few days before he returns to the hospital so we pray for continued good health. We thank God that Beau is doing so well and is able to have some fun time at home with his family. We thank God for all the wonderful family and friends that pray daily for our little warrior.

Psalm 113:3 Praise him from sunrise to sunset!
1 Chronicles 29:13 Now, our God, we give your thanks, and praise your glorious name.

Hello everyone!! Beau had a great day today. He and daddy made it just fine last night while mommy was working. Mommy had a good night as well busy but not too busy. Beau got up early with daddy this morning then he and mommy laid down a little after 8 and slept until lunch. Jennifer said he started saying "down mommy - down" when he was ready to get up. Beau, mommy, Kayla and Grammy went shopping for a little while this afternoon. Beau, Kayla & Jen rode the Merry Go Round at the Mall. We also stopped by to see all our friends at Lautares and Blonde Salon. Everyone was so glad to see Beau. Beau & Jen enjoyed just getting out and messing around for awhile. Grammy and Kayla were glad we could all hang out together again. Beau looked good today and seem to enjoy his time just hanging out. We glad we just have fun news to report for a change.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Ann Kiemel Anderson wrote "absolutely ANYTHING" will turn into a blessing if we love God. I know we have all asked how could Beau having neuroblastoma be a blessing. God has blessed us over and over with the love and prayers of so many people all over the US. God has used Beau to bless so many people. Everyone that has met Beau and worked with him over the last 5 months have fallen in love with him. So many people have been praying and reaching out to God - what a huge blessing that is. God never takes away except to give us back something better. We must be brave enough, patient enough, and determined enough to wait and see what God has planned. God works in his time not ours and it often takes time for God to turn a painful situation to good. God will heal Beau in his time. In the mean time, we will continue to praise and thank God for all he's given us.

Please continue to pray for our little warrior that he will grow stronger over the next 4-5 days so he'll be ready to start this next round of chemo. Pray he will eat well so he can put on a little weight. Jennifer is working again tomorrow night so please pray Beau and Daddy will have another good night at home alone and that mommy will have a good night at work. I say this everyday but thank you so very much for all your prayers. We need them to get thru each day. God Bless!!

Good evening all!! Beau went home this morning - Thank you Lord! He ran a little fever last night so we weren't sure if he was going to be able to but his fever was down this morning and all his counts were good in fact a little higher than yesterday. Dr. Grossi said the GCSF can cause a fever. We got them loaded up and they headed home. Marcia one of Beau's nursing assistants helped us get everything to the car then she had to hug and kiss us goodbye. She told us she would be praying for us until she saw us again on Monday. All the nurses & other staff working today came by to tell him goodbye and told him to enjoy his time at home. The hospital is not a fun place to have to be but the staff of 2West have made the stay easier. They have become like family to us. Gabby was glad to see her Mommy and Beau come home. Beau & Mommy relaxed on the sofa this afternoon and had a good nap. Mommy had to work tonight so the two "guys" will be hanging out together tonight.

Exodus 16:4 Then the Lord said to Moses, "I will rain down bread from heaven for you." So much of our life is spent waiting - waiting to grow up, waiting for the right spouse, waiting for the right job, etc. We've spent a lot of time waiting over the last 5 months and we know we will spend a lot of time waiting over the months ahead. Dr. Grossi told us the 1st day that we'll go one day at a time. We won't look to far ahead just face each day as we go. That's what God was telling Moses when he said I will rain down bread from heaven above. He wanted his children to trust Him for today and know that He would be there for them tomorrow. God sends us the strength and nourishment each day to face what comes our way. He doesn't give it to us all at once but day by day. Please pray that Beau will have a good week at home. Pray that he will eat and get his little body built back up before the next chemo starts. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers, love and concern. They keep us all strong, gives us the nourishment we need each day and helps us face the challenges of each day. God Bless!!

What a blessed day this has been!! If you saw our news flash you know that since Saturday, Beau's white count jumped from .1 to 12 and his neutrophils from 20 to 8,000. We had Dr. Grossi repeat himself to make sure we heard it right. Thank you Lord!!! Prayers were answered. Dr. Grossi told Jennifer if all was still well tomorrow morning Beau could go home for the remainder of the week/weekend. He will have to go back to the hospital on Monday to start his next round of chemo but it will be so nice for him to go home for a few days. He continued on the TPN today and received one more GCSF shot. He has eaten a little more and drank his pediasure. Dr. Grossi said he should eat more once he's off the TPN and he's back at home. Mommy took Beau out for another walk today in the beautiful sunshine. This time he rode in the little car you push around. They rode around the hospital and made a stop to see Auntie Julie. Boy was she surprised. He went to the playroom this afternoon and enjoyed watching all the kids playing. He was tire and finally took a nap before daddy got off work.

Psalm 100: 1-2 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

We can shout for joy today because Beau's counts are up and he can go home for a few days. His tumor has not grown and in fact has shrunk a little. We thank the Lord for all the wonderful family and friends who continue to pray for Beau and who have given so generously from their hearts to his medical fund. We praise God and thank Him for these blessings. God has been good to our little warrior and his family. God Bless!!

Saturday, April 21, 05:21 PM Grammy
Good evening all hope everyone is having a good weekend. It sure was a beautiful day out today. Beau had a good day today. Dr. Daeschner told Jennifer Beau could go out and get some sunshine if he would wear his mask. He hates wearing the mask so we didn't think he would do it. But, Jennifer told him he could go "ride in the wagon" if he would wear the mask. I guess he wanted to ride bad enough because he didn't fuss at all when Jennifer put the mask on him. He had on his ECU hat, blue sunglasses and his mask. He laid back in the wagon and just chilled out. He really enjoyed his time outside in the sun. He knew when we were back on the floor and getting close to his hall because he started pointing in the opposite direction and crying. He was some kind of mad when he got back into the room. It did both Beau and mommy good to take a walk in the sunshine.

Today was a special day for Beau. A group of Parham's hunting buddies organized and held the Beau Stanley Benefit & Field Trial Fund Raiser today at the Savannah Fox Preserve. A total of 449 dogs participated in the field trials today. They also had a silent auction and served food. Some of the guys donated the trophies, others donated "dog related stuff" to auction off, and others donated the food they served. Others still donated their time to put it together and run the trials. The combined efforts of everyone involved raised a total of $18,220 for Beau's Medical Fund. Praise be to God for this wonderful group of men. There are no words to express how much this means to Jennifer and Parham and how much they appreciate what these good friends did for them today. They would like to thank the Hunt club organizers, all the people that donated items for the silent auction, the people that donated food, the people that help with the fields trials and all the people that participated today and gave so generously to our little warrior. God Bless you and Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

As far as the medical side of things go, things are about the same today. Beau's neutrophils (has to do with the white blood cells) count needs to be 750 before he can have his next round of chemo. It bottomed out to zero this week and was up to 20 today so he has a way to go to get back to 750. Dr. D told Jennifer Beau will probably go about 28 days between chemo treatments instead of 21 because he may need these extra days to get his counts back up. Jennifer thinks Beau is trying to cut more teeth which has made him a little grumpy today.

Ephesians 5:20 always giving thanks to God, the Father for everything, in the name of of Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you Lord for all of Parham's wonderful hunting buddies that gave so unselfishly from their hearts today to our little warrior. Thank you for the beautiful sunshine that our little buddy was able to enjoy today. And. Lord, thank you for all the wonderful people all over the US that are praying daily for Beau, Jennifer and Parham. May God Bless each and everyone of them.

Friday, April 20, 04:59 PM Grammy
Happy Friday everyone!! Praise be to our Heavenly Father today. Beau had his CT scan this morning and he was a brave little warrior. He had to take his contrast by mouth. It's grape flavor but I'm sure it's not the best tasting stuff. Jennifer used a syringe to give it to him and while he didn't like it and he cried he took it and never spit any out. Jennifer and Beau's friend Anthony came to take him for his test. He was so good and never cried once during the whole test. The technician told him how wonderful he did especially for someone his age. Dr. Grossi told Jen this afternoon that the tumor had not grown any in the week since he finished his chemo. Praise God because in the past it has grown while he was in between chemo treatments. It has shrunk a little and they could tell a little of the tumor was dead tissue. Hey, we'll take a little. Littles eventually add up to a lot. His white count was .1. We thought they said it was .2 yesterday but Dr. Daeschner said it was .1 yesterday so I guess we miss understood. His platelets are a little low so they will watch them and if need be he will receive some platelets. He continues receiving the TPN and the other meds he's been receiving this week. He weighed 19 lbs. 9 oz. this morning. Thank the Lord he's not lost a lot considering he hasn't been eating. He was around 20 lbs before he started this round of chemo. He had pediasure today and ate a little chicken. He's getting some of his spunk back as well. Jennifer said he got mad this afternoon about something and threw a big fit. He was slinging his arms and carrying on. That was good exercise for him. His breathing looks normal now so we really believe the tumor has shrunk away from that lung. His color looks good. Those big blue eyes will look right thru you some days. I would love to know what he is thinking.

1 Chronicles 29: 12...In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.
1 Chroniclse 29:13 Now our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.

We praise God today for all he's done in Beau's life especially over the last few weeks. He's put the right people in the right place at the right time. We are so blessed to have a wonderful Children's Hospital right here in town and it's staff with such caring and thoughtful people. Two of the ladies helping take care of him - Marcia and Jackie have adopted both Jennifer and Beau. They love them both and are always so sweet and thoughtful. They are in and out of the room checking on them and making sure they have everything they need. While it's not home, they have helped make it seem a little more like home. All your prayers have help to give Jennifer, Parham and Beau the strength they need to meet each new day. Jackie told me today she admired Jennifer so much because she always has a smile on her face when she sees her and she is always so kind to them. Jennifer's strength comes from her Heavenly Father. He hears your prayers and He answers. Please thank God tonight that the tumor has shrunk and pray it continues to do so. As Jen mentioned above this weekend is the Radiothon for the Children's Hospital. Please pray for all the children that must use this wonderful facility. Pray for the doctors, nurses, childlife specialists, nursing assistants, housekeeping staff, and administrators. Beau and all the children are getting the care they need because of these people. Thank you so very much for your continued love and support. Have a great weekeend! God Bless!!

Give thanks to the Lord Beau had a good day today!! His white count was up to .2. It's a small step up but it's one step at a time one day at a time. For now, the "no visitors" sign remains on the door. Dr. Daeschner told Jennifer the white count could go up and down for a few days so they want to be sure his white count is up and stays up before he starts having visitors again. His red blood cell count was down today so he received a blood transfussion. However, that could be good news because the Dr. thinks the tumor may be dying and is bleeding. He has his CT scan tomorrow so hopefully we'll know more then. His appetite picked up a little today. He munched on nuggets off and on this afternoon. In fact, he held on to his nugget box all afternoon and wouldn't let it go. I guess he didn't want anyone to steal his nuggets. He also had a few M&Ms. He would have pigged out on them put Jennifer only lets him have a few at a time so he won't make himself sick. Jen said he had one little episode of sickness this morning but had been fine ever since then. He spent part of the day sitting in the chair today and then got mad when Jen put him back in the bed. So, we give thanks to the Lord today for Beau's good day.

Jennifer is working tonight so pray Beau and daddy will have an uneventful night. Please pray Beau's CT scan tomorrow shows the tumor is dying and skrinking. Lets continue to pray for his white count to make a speedy recover back to the normal range.

1 Chronicles 16:34 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Psalm 106:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Psalm 107:1 give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

At least three times in the Bible, we find this same verse. We give thanks to the Lord today for the good day Beau has had. But, we must remember to give thanks to the Lord even on the days that aren't so good. These verses say it all. God is good and his love for us will never end. No matter how hard we try we can't make him stop loving us. God Bless!!

Good evening all!! Our little warrior's white count bottomed out. The only way to go is up. Dr. Daeschner told Jennifer again today it will be a slow move up. So, the "no visitors sign was back on the door today. Caution is the best thing right now. His breathing was even better today so we pray the tumor has shrunk away from his lung. His little belly was much flatter today. The good poopies he had yesterday and today have helped him. He's thrown up a little a couple of times today. He's receiving his nausea medicine as well as some benedryl. I talked to Jen about 6:30 and so far so good. His color looks good so now we just need to figure out a way to make him eat. He has eaten a few M&Ms, cheerios, and bites of animal cookies. He continues on his TPN so hopefully that nourishment will help him put some weight back on. Jennifer said he wanted mommy to hold him this afternoon so they sat and snuggled for awhile. All in all he had a good day.

Please lets continue to pray the tumor is dying away. Pray for Beau's white count to go up faster than the doctors expect. Also pray his nauesa goes away and he'll feel like eating at a little each day. Please continue to pray for strength for Beau, Jennifer and Parham. Jen is working again tomorrow night so pray she will have a good nights rest tonight.

Mark 10:14 ..."Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Beau is Jennifer and Parham's child but first and foremost he is God's child. Jennifer was holding Beau in her arms this afternoon but God was holding them both in his arms. God loves Beau and yes he does have a plan for his life. I believe God is constantly whispering these little thoughts to Beau. "My child, I care about you. I love you unconditionally. Please trust me. Please have faith in me. I love you my precious child." Let us all rest in the peace of God's loving arms tonight.

Thank you all so very much for your continued, prayers, love and support. Beau's family is blessed each day by all these prayers. God Bless.

Hope everyone had a great day today!! Our little warrior had another quiet day today. His white count dropped to .1 so it's almost bottom out to .0. Dr. Daeschner told us with the amount of GCSF Beau was receiving each day it could take 7-10 days for his white count to get back up into the acceptable range. With that said, Jennifer and Parham decided to put a "no visitor's" sign on the door today. They just felt it was the best thing to do for Beau right now. They will see how his counts are each day and then decide whether to continue with the "no visitors". His breathing seems a little better and his belly a little softer. He was "passing smelly gas" today which was a good thing - if you held your nose. He finally had a good poopy so hopefully his little belly is getting back to normal. His bladder seems to be back to normal as well thank the Lord He continues to receive the TPN and they were going to add calories to it today. Dr. D told Jennifer Beau probably wasn't goint to eat much right now but to let him eat whatever he wanted. He continues to receive the Lugol's iodine (he has to take this because of the MIBG test), medicine to help prevent fungus because he's on the antibiotics, and the drug that will help preven pneumonia. These drugs are taken by mouth and we think they may hit his tummy kind of hard. He threw up a little once last night and a couple of times today. Jennifer sat him up in the chair for awhile today and then he rested in the bed the rest of the time. All in all he is doing well. We don't know if he will be able to go home before his next round of chemo starts. But as Jen said, we don't really care we just want him to get better and if that means staying here 5 months we will.

It's been 5 months since we started this journey. Much of it has been spent "waiting". Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick. Glayds Hunt said, "Believing that God will do what he says is quite different from waiting for him to do it. Waiting is hard, but believing while waiting is harder still. Is anything to hard for the Lord? Is anything? Can God accomplish in our lives (Beau's) what he knows is best? Yes! Yes! Yes! We have a lot of waiting ahead of us but we know God is in control and he has a plan for Beau's life. God Bless!!

Good evening all!! It's been another quiet day for Beau. Daddy and Beau did well last night without mommy. She was able to check in on them on during her break. Grandad Miller came at 6:30 this morning to stay with Beau until mommy got back to the room so daddy could go home and get ready for work. They took Beau off his oxygen and he did well without it. They also took out the catheter and he had several wet diapers so that was good. He continues to receive the TPN, his antibiotics, his GCSF and another drug that helps one of his levels but I can't remember what Jen said it was for. His white blood cell count was lower - almost no count. He can't leave his room while his counts are down and we are being careful about handwashing, etc. so we don't give him any germs. We pray the GCSF will kick in soon and start to bring his levels back up. He threw up one time late today but we think it might be from the drugs he's taking by mouth. He isn't eating much and they probably hit his tummy hard. His little belly is still bloated but seemed a little better. His breathing has slowed down a little so we pray the fluid is starting to disipate. Jen is working again tonight from 7-12. They were short handed and asked her if she could work so she decided she would while she could.

Beau isn't eating much and we know the chemo makes yoou not want to eat. Please pray that Beau will feel more like eating in the days ahead. He needs to get some meat back on his bones before he starts the next round of chemo. Please continue to pray the tumor is dying. Parham works hard all day and spends each evening with Jen and Beau at the hospital. Please pray for God to give him the strength he needs to get thru each day and to have a good nights rest each night. And, please thank God for all He is doing in our little warrior's life each day.

John 11:4 When he heard this, Jesus said, "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it." Jesus said this when he heard Lazarus was sick. I believe He said the same thing when Beau was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. God will use Beau's journey thru his fight against this to His glory. Beau has touch many lives and will continue to do so. Thanks to everyone for your continued prayers. God Bless!!

Hello everyone!! What a rainy day it has been today - good for resting and taking it easy. That is just what Beau Diddly did today. He had a very restful night last night and slept a little late this morning. His white count was very very low today. The dr. told them to limit Beau's visitors until his counts come back up. His little belly is still full of gas but for now they are going to wait and see if it will pass on its on. He still has some fluid around his lung but they are just monitoring it as well. He is still receiving the TBN nourishment but ate a little all during the day. He played some today with mommy and daddy. Jennifer said he acted like he felt better today. He still gets mad and throws his hands up everytime they take the food away. He doesn't want it just doesn't want it thrown away. He doesn't have much say so on what happens to him or goes on in his room. I guess this is our little warrior's way of trying to have his say so about something.

Please pray that athe GCSF will bring his white counts up quickly, that the tumor is dying more each day, that the fluid and gas will dissipate and not cause him any problems. Jennifer is working tonight and Parham will be staying alone with Beau. Pray they will all have a good night tonight and Jennifer will be able to rest tomorrow morning when she returns to Beau's room.

Psalm 47: 10 "Be still and know that I am God;
Psalm 47 - 11 The Lord Almighty is with us:

We can rest tonight knowing that God is still God and He is always with us. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers.

Good evening!! Beau had a good night last night. He slept very well in fact he and Jennifer slept late this morning. He's had a quiet day today. As was expected, his white count was down so they started him on the GCFS drug that will help boast his white count. He'll receive that 14 days. He continues to receive the TPN nourishment. He did drink more pediasure today and ate a few M&Ms and a few little bites of pizza. Jen was going to throw away the piece of pizza she had been pinching bites off of and Beau saw her. He threw up both of his hands and started crying. He didn't want to eat it but he didn't want her to throw it away either. She was going to wait until he went to sleep and then toss it. He played a little with his golf balls/putting hole he got for Easter and watch the movie the Incredibles this afternoon. His little belly is bloated from gas - we think so they decided xray his belly tonight to see what was going on. He's been sleeping alot and he doesn't act like it's bothering him. His breathing is still a little fast and shallow and he still has fluid around his lung but the drs. want to wait and see what happens once his nutrition gets back on track and the tumor shrinks. They will probably do a CT scan at the end of the week to see how the tumor has reacted to this round of chemo. All in all he's had a pretty good day.

Everyday is a waiting game. We wait to see what is going to happen next and we hope everyday will be better than the last. We know this will be our life for many months to come. God is working mightly in Beau's life but we must be patient and wait. Isaiah 41:31- but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Beau is quiet now and resting alot but one day he will soar again. He'll be out running, and swinging and playing. We'll look back and see how God used Beau to touch so many lives. As Beverly LaHay said, "God's timing does not always coincide with our immediate plans. Sometimes his timing requires that we wait and hope."

Please pray that the gas in Beau's belly goes away on it's on, that the tumor is shrinking and dying, that the fluid around his lung also goes away on its own. Jennifer plans to work tomorrow night so please pray she will get the rest she needs tonight and tomorrow afternoon. Please pray that Beau & Parham will rest well tomorrow night while mommy is gone. As always, thanks so very much for all your love and prayers. Gob Bless!!

Happy Friday!! Beau had a good night last night and a good day today. They took his NG tube out today as well as the IV in his hand. He finished his chemo this morning at 10 am. He had the second MIBG test today. We still haven't gotten the results from those tests. His breathing was still a little fast so they took a chest Xray this morning. He still has fluid around his lung but the Dr. decided to just keep a watch on it for now. They started the TBN at 6 pm tonight. and he continues to get antibiotics for the infection. We knew he was feeling better this morning because first thing he started crying for his milk. They let him have his pediasure and he drank a little during the day. He was also fighting the nurses every time they came in to work on him so we knew he was feeling better. He had a good nap this afternoon. His color was much better today as well. He will just rest this weekend and they will monitor his vital signs and counts.

We know all the prayers going up for our little warrior got him thru the last three days. Pastor Cleveland Turner visited Beau this afternoon and said a very special prayer for him and for that we are so thankful. Beau continues to be blessed everyday and he continues to touch so many lives. God is using our little warrior. We will continue to pray that the current chemo regime will kill the tumor, that Beau will continue to be strong and courageous thru the weeks and months ahead. We pray for his caregivers that God will be with them as they care for our little buddy.

God Bless!! Jeremiah 30:17 - But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, (cancer) declares the Lord,....

Good evening. Beau didn't' have a restful night last night. His heart rate stayed up most of last night because he had a fever. It took awhile for it to come down once his fever was gone. I think they were able to get some sleep sometime after 3 am. He was awake when I got there about 7:15. Jennifer could not believe he was awake and as wide eyed as he was. He had a pretty good day today. He had the MIBG test this morning and will have a second one tomorrow morning. Jennifer said he slept thru the test. They did find out the infection in his blood was coming from germs that live on your skin. I guess the doctors were right he is his own worst enemy. The antibiotics they started him on will take care of the infection. He hasn't had any fever today and his heart rate has stayed in the normal range. Jennifer and I (just call us momma drs.) think his fever was probably coming from the infection and since the antibiotics kicked in he hasn't had any today. He was awake more today and more alert. He wasn't sick today like yesterday so they didn't have to give him Benedryl. I think he still received his other nausea meds. They clamped his NG tube today and if he continues to do well thru the night they will take it out tomorrow. He is still breathing a little heavy so he will have a chest Xray tomorrow to make sure there isn't any fluid in his lungs that needs to be drained. The doctor said they would start him on the TPN tomorrow after he finishes his chemo. He probably won't feel like eating for a few days so the TPN will provide the nourishment he needs. We don't know when he will go home but feel like he will probably be in the hospital thru next week.

Beau continues to be our brave little warrior. We know we have a long road ahead and there will be ups and downs and bumps in the road. One thing you learn at a time like this is you must have patience. So, we will continue to be patient and have faith and wait in the Lord. Hebrews 11:1 came to mind today "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." We have faith God will heal our little warrior. Sometimess when he is sick it may look like he's not being healed but we can't see what God is doing in his little body so we must trust in God. Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profress for he who promised is faithful. God is faithful. Beau is his child and He will take care of him. Please continue to pray the chemo will kill the tumor. Pray that Beau's little body will be strong during the chemo treatments. With his immune system down, it will be easier for him to get infections. As always, thank you all so very much for your prayers. They keep us going and give us the strength to get thru each day. God Bless!!

Good evening everyone!! Beau had an ok day today. He continues to have some fever off and on so they are keeping him on tylenol. He has been sick as well off and on today and has thrown up several times. Thank God for the NG tube or Jen would have been cleaning him up more often. He gets nausea medicine and this afternoon they started him on Benedryl as well. He gets that in between the nausea medicine and it seems to have helped with the nausea. Of coures it makes him sleepy, so he has been sleeping a lot today. They came at 1 pm today and injected the radioisotope into his vein. This is the medicine he has to take before he has the MIBG test tomorrow. This is a nuclear test specifically for neuroblastoma. It will more clearly show everywhere the tumor is so they will have a more detail picture of what is going on with the tumor. This test will be done sometime tomorrow morning. His white count is up and the cultures showed there was something growing in his blood. We won't know for a couple of days exactly what it is but they went ahead and put him on anitbiotics late this afternoon. I believe Jennifer said he will have another blood transfustion tomorrow. The doctors told Jennifer they would put him back on the TPN once he finishes the chemo. Dr. Daeschner reminded us today it will take him longer to bounce back after the chemo since these drugs are much stronger than before. We have no idea when he will be able to go home. I believe his next round of chemo will start April 30/May 1 - somewhere in there. He continues to be such a brave little warrior. Everyone keeps saying how good he is and how brave he is. It's all the prayers going up in his behalf that is keeping him strong. Please continue to pray that this chemo will kill the tumor once and for all. Please pray for Parham and Jennifer and that God will continue to give them the strength to face what each day brings. I am especially proud of Jennifer. She has been so strong. She takes such good care of our little warrior. Her strength and courage has been a witness to everyone that sees her taking care of our precious little Beau. A great big thank you to all the nursing staff, housekeeping staff, childlife staff and doctors on 2 West. They have been wonderful not only to Beau but to all his family. God has blessed us with wonderful caregivers. And as always, thank you so much for your prayers. We love you guys!!

Hello everyone! Beau did not rest well last night. He had an episode of pain and crying. Jennifer thinks it was the tumor bothering him. Finally about 3-3:30 this morning they decided to go ahead and put the IV in his hand. He was already awake so they thought they would get it in and maybe he could go to sleep and get some rest before they started his chemo. I got to the hospital around 8 am and both and he Jen were awake but tired. We shut the blinds and they tried resting for awhile. They started the chemo around 10. One of the drugs he received for 6 hrs. He will receive that drug again tomorrow and thursday morning for 6 hrs. The other two drugs (are mixed together) are being administer over a 24 hr. period. They will start a new bag tomorrow morning at 10 and it will run for 24 hrs., then the third and last bag will be started at 10 am on Thursday. Once the 6 hr. drug finished they started him back on fluids. Late this afternoon, Beau's vital signs were up. His heart rate stayed high and at times would go up over 202. He was shaking for awhile and at first we thought he was cold. He didn't feel warm to to the touch so we didn't think he had a fever. His breathing was rapid so they did a chest xray. His lungs were okay. The doctor ordered tylenol to see if that would help. When his nurse came to give it to him, Jen felt his head and all of a sudden he felt warm. His fever was over 101. One of the drugs he was receiving can cause chills and fever. We finally realize it must be the chemo causing the problems. They also did some blood cultures to see if he had any infection in his blood. The doctor decided to go ahead and put him on antibiotics as a precaution since it may take a couple of days for the cultures to grow. Dr. Grossi told Jennifer Beau could be his own worst enemy. The germs in his body could cause him to have an infection. When I talk to Jennifer around 8 pm he was resting ok. Beau's nurse Felica told me he was such a brave little boy and so strong. She said everyone on the floor had fallen in love with him and everyone was praying for him. When she went to the pharmacy to get his meds, they asked about him and indicated they were also praying for him. Felica told me one of the residents Beau had during his recent stay had also fallen in love with him. He was the resident on call when Beau was admitted on Sunday. She said he asks about him everyday he is on the floor. Beau has touched so many people's lives over the last few months and he has been a blessing to so many. He may only be 21 months old but he has shown us all what strength and courage are. He has definitely shown by example. Everyday we hear of more people that are prayig for him. Several of my friends have young children and they pray for Beau daily. So often we go thru our daily lives and forget to pray as we should. But Beau's illness has reminded us all that God wants us to talk to Him daily, to come to Him in prayer and thanksgiving. We are all God's children and He longs for that time alone with us each day. God hears all these prayers going up for our little warrior and He is listening. Our prayers will be answered in God's time. Thank you so very much from all Beau's family for your continuing love and prayers. May God richly bless each and everyone of you.

Good evening!! Beau had his CT scan this morning. As we suspected the tumor is growing. They could tell his bladder was full and he was still not urinating so they decided to put in a catheter. After 3 trys, they got the catheter in and withn 30 min. he had put out 200 cc. They have been giving him fluids all day and he has continued to go. He has also had several good poopies so that has helped his tummy. The tumor didn't seemed to be pressing on the urinary track so we're still not sure why he didn't go like he should. He will start his intense regime of chemo tomorrow so they are pushing the fluids tonight so he will be well hydrated when they start. He will have to have an IV put in tomorrrow morning since two of the chemos can't be mixed while being given. He will be receiving chemo thru his Hickman and the IV. Once he starts the chemo, it will run nonstop for 72 hrs. Beau has slept alot today but that will probably be the norm in the future while he's receiving chemo. These rounds of chemo will be much stronger than before so he will be tired and will rest alot. He still has the NG tube in and it looks like it will stay there for now. He's had a small amount of drainage this afternoon. He may receive TBN (nourishment stuff) in a few days. The doctors want to see how the tumor reacts to the chemo before they start him on the TBN. So for now he is getting only fluids by IV. Beau did have a blood transfussion this afternoon to help his counts. This may also be the norm for the future as well. Beau continues to be a little trouper. He has been such a good boy thru all this. We are so proud of him. Your prayers continue to help Beau and his mommy and daddy get thru each day. Please pray that Beau handles this round of chemo well without many side effects or sickness, that he doesn't loose weight, and that the tumor will shrink away to nothing. Pray that God continues to bless Jennifer and Parham with the strength to meet each day. God continues to be good and bless us each day and for that we are so thankful. God Bless each and everyone of your for your love and prayers.

Sunday, 8:11 pm. Good evening all!! Beau was admitted back into PCMH this morning around 11:30 am. He was crying off and on like he was having pain in his belly area. He had only urinated once from Friday until Saturday night around 7 pm. They did an xray and did some labs on him this afternoon. His labs showed his kidney is working but it just isn't putting out the amount it should be. Something is blocking the urine from coming down from the kidney. The doctor said there could be a 1,000 things causing this problem so they will work to find out what it is. He has gone some today but not what they would like for him to have done. The xray showed he had a little fluid around his lungs. He had this before and it was caused by the tumor so at this point they assume that is what it's coming from. His tummy was bloated with gas so they put the NG tube back down into his tummy to help that. They will do a CT scan tomorrow to see what is going on with the tumor. Dr. Grossi and Dr. Pence will take a look at it. Beau has been off chemo a week and in the past when he is off chemo the tumor has grown. There is a possibility the tumor has grown and may be pressing on the urinary track or something and causing the blockage. They will be able to tell when they do the CT Scan. If they find it has grown and there is tumor that could be surgically removed, they might go back in and do surgery or may just get him back on his chemo regime right away. We will have to wait until they do the CT scan to see what the next step will be. He is resting ok tonight. God was with him today. The resident on call on the Peds. floor today had been Dr. Grossi's resident over the last few months and had been seeing Beau on a regular basis before he left the hospital the last time. He was familiar with Beau's case and was able to get right to work. Thank you Lord for putting the right person in the right place today when we needed him. Please keep our little warrior in your prayers. he has some tough days ahead. Thank you all so very much for your love and concern for our little warrior. God Bless.

Hey Guys! We had a good trip to Chapel Hill yesterday. Its not a bad drive from Greenville, took us about 2 hours to the hospital. It is a lot bigger and busier than here in Greenville. We really liked Dr. Gilman, the transplant coordinators and the social worker. The meeting went really well, and we are pleased with what he said. (I have written more details above). We have a long haul ahead of us, but are very excited and hopeful that this will be a good shot for a cure for Beau. The chemo will be higher doses than Beau has had before, so he will probably not feel as well as he has had in the past, but we feel that the side effects and risk do not out weigh the benefits. I know we say it all the time, but THANKS THANKS THANKs for all the prayers and hope that everyone will continue to pray for our Little Warrior. Hope that everyone has a Great Easter.

Hello everyeone!! Beau has had a good week so far. He went to the clinic on Monday and his counts were good - a little low but still in the good range. He was 20 lbs. 7 oz. with his clothes on so he's maintaining his weight. He's still on the anitibotics. Jen is doing very well administering that to him. She took him into the clinic this morning to have his line flushed. It was running a little slow. We go to UNC-CH tomorrow to meet with Dr. Gilman. They told Jen the meeting with Dr. Gilman would be approximately 1 1/2 hrs. long and they would get a lot of information so I'm going with them to entertain Beau while they are meeting with the doctor. We will also get to tour the children's hospital while we are there. Beau's continuing to eat well so that is a blessing. We know we have a long road ahead with the stem cell removal/transplant. Our little warrior has a lot to face over the coming months but we know he will continue to be strong because of all the prayers going up for him. Most likely he will be in Chapel Hill 4-6 weeks - at least so he will be away from all his family. We will know more once we meet with Dr. Gilman. Please continue to pray for Beau, that he will be able to tolerate the upcoming intense regimen of chemo, that the stem cell removal/transplant will go smoothly. I know I always say this but thank you so much for all your prayers, concern and love. It means so much and helps Beau's family get thru each day. God Bless!!

Hey Guys! Beau was discharged home today - YEAH!!! His appetite was a little better when we got home. He had his favorite, chicken nuggets, fries and M&M's to eat when we got home. The home health nurse came to show me how to administer his antibiotics that he will be getting every 8 hours while we are home. He goes to the clinic on Monday to have his counts checked and we have an appointment with the Dr. in Chapel Hill next Thurs. We should hopefully find out what the plan is then. We are so happy to be home even if it is for a little while. Thanks so much to everyone for all the prayers and support. We have a long road ahead of us, but having as much support that we do makes it easier to face it. We can't say thank you enough to everyone! Have a Great weekend.

Good Morning!! Looks like rain today. Hope that will clear out some of this pollen. Beau had a good day yesterday. He and mommy slept in yesterday. The nurses are so good about letting them sleep and only bothering them when they have to. Beau got a bath (still doesn't like it) and got dress in his cute plaid shirt and jeans. We had to ride in the car around the nurses station about 10 times. We stopped and talked to folks as we rode. Everyone knows Beau now and they love talking to him. He ate part of a turkey and cheese sandwich for lunch and a little of a brownie cupcake. He drank his pediasure as well. Grammy stayed with him while mommy did a couple of errands and ran home. He slept awhile then we played. He laughed and was talking up a storm. He and mommy went to the play room yesterday afternoon. Dr. Grossi said he might go home on Friday -- yeah!! We aren't sure for how long but it will be good to be back in his own bed for awhile. We're thinking he will be home a week before he returns to the hospital but we don't know that for sure. The insurance company approved the stem cell removal/transplant that needs to be done in Chapel Hill. Jennifer talked to Dr. Gilman's office yesterday. They will go to Chapel Hill sometime next week for a preliminary meeting with Dr. Gilman. So it looks like the ball is starting to roll on this next adventure. So many prayers continue to go up for our little warrior. Thanks so very very much. It's the prayers that are making the difference. Please pray that Beau will finish out this week of chemo doing as well as he has so far. Pray that the chemo is working and the tumor is shrinking. Pray that he will be able to do well with this next intense round of chemo. We love you guys! May God Bless each of you. Have a blessed day!!

Good morning all!! Hope everyone is having a good week. We've certainly had beautifil spring time weather. Beau had a pretty good day yesterday. He had several kind of loose poopies yesterday but we think that was coming from the anitibotics he had been on. His blood levels were low so Dr. Grossi order a blood transfusion for him. He always seems to perk up after he receives the blood and this time was no different. He seemed more perky last night. He is back on a regular diet but Jen is taking it slow introducing things back into his diet. He will finish up this round of chem on Friday so he should be able to go home for a few days before they start the more intense round of chemo. Jen will be giving him the GCSF medication everyday to increase his stem cells while he is at home. Jen was able to take him outside yesterday riding in the little car he loves so much. They were able to sit on the benches outisde the hospital and watch the construction going on. Kayla went to see him yesterday afternoon and they race around and around the nurses station in the little cars. Beau didn't want to stop. He'll keep saying ride, ride. Some students from ECU came last night and put on a little carnival type thing for the kids with different activities for them to do. Jennifer and Beau went and he had a good time. Jennifer said he really talked to the pretty college girls. I think Beau likes the pretty girls. All in all he had a good day. God continues to bless us each day. Beau is such a sweet little boy with a beautiful smile and he has won the hearts of everyone that has come in contact with him. I see God using him each day in so many ways. We have a long road ahead of us and we appreciate so much all your thoughts and prayers. They keep us all going each day. There are no words to say how much your prayers, love and support means to all of Beau's family. Please continue to pray for our little warrior. God Bless and have a wonderful day.

Hey Guys! Beau is having a much better day today. He is still having a little diarrhea, but is getting some medication for that. He was able to start back eating soft foods today, so he has been eating some bread and strawberry ice cream. Parham and I took him for a ride outside in the wagon today, and he really enjoyed that. They are going to start back the 2nd part of his chemo tommorrow. They held off the chemo for the past 2 days, so that he could have a little time to get over this infection. He has not had a fever in over 24 hours and is feeling much better. Thanks to everyone for all the sweet messages, visits, card and phone calls. Thank you for continuing to pray for Beau, it really makes it easier knowing that we have so many people supporting us. Hope everyone has a great week!!

Good evening all! Our little warrior wasn't feeling up to par today. He was running a fever today. He threw up a little last night and again this morning. Jen thinks he drank his juice too fast this morning and ate a little to much yesterday. They took him off foods for awhile today and to be on the safe side, Dr. Tyson order a xray of his chest/belly. His bowels are working fine so they put him back on clear liquids. They gave him tylenol thru out the day for his fever. He slept all afternoon and was still resting when Jen called me about 8 pm. He was having some diarreha and the doctor said he might have the rotovirus. His white count was up so they ordered som extra blood tests but we won't know those results until tomorrow or Sunday. It was dishearting to see him feeling under the weather especially after having such a good day on Wed. The resident said he may be having a delayed reaction to the chemo. I told Jennifer we didn't know how he was going to react to this chem since it was different than what he had in the begining. He never really had any down days with the first chemo so I guess we were expecting him to act the same way this time. He may have some down days this time so it will seem worst to us at first. As Dr. Grossi has told us so many times, we have to go one day at a time and deal with what each day brings. Even though he felt bad, he was still our brave little warrior today. He did so well when he went down for his xrays. He was a real trooper. Please continue to pray for our little buddy. God continues to hold him close in his arms. As all ways, thanks so much for all your prayers.

Good morning what a day we are having!! Beau and Kayla participated in the "jello throw" at the hospital yesterday afternoon. They had a great time and ended up on the 6 pm news last night. Beau had his picture taken with Ms. North Carolina and his picture with her has ended up in the newspapers in Winston-Salem, Charlotte, and Greensboro as well as the Daily Reflector. Auntie Nay in Kernernsville, NC flipped out when she opened the paper and saw Beau this morning. All the nurses and doctors were coming in to see him and congratulate him this morning. So many people on the prayer chain in the Winston-Salem area have been calling Uncle Buddy so excited to see the little boy they have been praying so hard for. Now on to our GREAT news for the day. Beau will finish up his TBN today. Dr. Tyson gave him the go ahead to eat regular food today whatever he wanted. The first thing he wanted was MMs. We had some mini ones and let him have just a few. He acted like they tasted so good to him. Jen will slowly introduce solid foods back into his diet. He loves his nuggets and fries so I know he'll be glad to chow down on a few fries and nuggets. He will be off the chemo today and tomorrow then start back on it on Saturday. The next five days he will receive only one of the drugs. He will be able to go home next Thursday for 7 days. I know he will glad to be home for a little while. He was in good spirits yesterday afternoon. He and Kayla raced around the nurses' station in the little cars. He loves being pushed around in the car. This morning he was telling Jennifer "ride, ride". Each day God continues to bless Beau and his family. We are so fortunate to have so many wonderful people praying for Beau. May God richly bless each and every one of you. Have a blessed day!!

Good morning all!! Didn't we have a beautiful day yesterday. Beau had a really great day! He finally got the NG tube out of his tummy. As soon as it was out, he started talking. Jennifer was able to get him set up in the big chair that is in his room. I'm sure he was glad to be out of the bed. He played a lot yesterday. He went to the playroom and had a car race around the nurses station with another little boy. He can now have clear liquids and he drank apple juice. He is still receiving his liquid pizza and will continue to do so until he is back on regular foods. He tolerated his chemo well again yesterday. Today will be his 5th day then he will take a two day break. We're getting ready to give him a bath so he can go to the playroom for awhile. They want him up and moving as much as possible. As before, he has been a different child since he started back on his chemo. Thank you so much for all your prayers. God hears and is listening. Please continue to pray for our brave little warrior. God Bless and have a wonderful day!!

Hey!!! Beau is doing well. He has tolerated his 1st 3 rounds of chemo very well. He threw up once a little yesterday. So far, Praise the Lord, he has not had the severe diarrhea that can be a side effect of one of his drugs. He has two more days of chemo, will have a 2 day break and then have 5 more days of chemo. If all is well, he will go home for a week. He had lots of company on Sunday. His great auntie Nay, cousin Whiitney and Grandma Collins came from Kernersville to see him. His great auntie Kathy & great uncle Ricky came from Lexington as well. He got to see Kayla for the first time in almost two weeks. They colored, threw the ball, and played with their sunglasses. He stayed all by himself with Grand-dad & Grandma Miller so mommy and daddy could go eat. They needed a little break. Today, he went to the Peds playroom twice to play. The second time he actually got down and walked around and played. That is the most walking he has done in almost two weeks. Needless to say, he's been very clingy to his mommy. We have received so many thouhtful messages over the last few days and they have meant so much. Beau has truly been a brave little warrior. We know it is the prayers going up for Beau, his mommy and daddy that are helping them to get thru each day. Jen and Parham have shown such strength and courage this in itself has been such a testimony to so many. God has been good to us all during these last four months. Again, thanks so much for all the prayers. Please continue to pray for our little warrior. God Bless and have a wonderful evening!!

Good afternoon all! As you may remember, Beau has been having some fever off and on for several weeks now. He has had some fever this week and when they did his blood work yesterday, they found his white count was up. Drs. Pence, Daeschner and Grossi decided to go ahead with the full body scan yesterday. They gave him the contrast thru his NG tube to his tummy. He tolerated it very well. The results were not what we wanted to hear. The tumor is growing aggressively. Beau's doctors decided to start him back on chemo treatments today. He will be taking two drugs he has never had before. These two drugs have proven to work well with the more aggressive types of tumors. One drug he will receive orally or for now thru his NG tube. The other drug is by IV. He will receive these drugs for 5 days be off them two days and go back on them for 5 days be off them a week and start that cycle over again. This will last for a total of 18 weeks. Before, he received 3 days of chemo every 23 days. They will do another body scan possibly after the 1st cycle to see how things are going. As you can imagine the news was hard for the family to hear yesterday afternoon. Several family members were with Parham and Jennifer when they received the news so they weren't alone. You're heart drops and you get a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach for a few moments then you remember God is still in control. Everything is in Hs time and His time is not always the same as our time. Kathy Troccoli once said in the middle of great saddness and despair and after several minutes of crying and crying and calling out to God, she heard this still small voice say, "Am I Not Still God?" She answered yes, you are still God and she knew all would be ok. God is still God and Beau will be ok, God is taking care of Him. I think Jennifer and Parham are doing well today. There is a lot to digest and understand. Dr. Daeschner gave them materals to read that explains about the drugs he will be taking. Beau was playing in the bed earlier this morning, coloring not only on the coloring book but on the bed. Someone will get to enjoy a colorful sheet in the future. I saw him around lunch. He was getting sleepy and they were getting ready to start him on his chemo. I just talked to Jen (3 pm) and he was doing well. So many prayers have been going up for our brave little warrior over the last 4 months and we know God is listening. Please continue to pray for Beau that these drugs will kill the tumor once and for all. Also, please pray for Jennifer and Parham and Beau's family, that God will continue to give them the strength to face each day, to keep the faith when the moment gets hard, and to trust in God to do things His way in His time. Please pray for God to guide Beau's doctors and nurses each day as they work with our little warrior. We still believe that God will heal Beau and use Beau to His glory as a testimony to His great healing power. There are no words to express how much each and everyone of you mean to us. Your prayers, thoughts and love have gotten us thru each day over the last 4 months. Thank you for all the prayers that will be going up in Beau's behalf. God Bless you all!!!

Good evening all! Not much news today. Things are about the same. We thought his output from the tube in his tummy was slowing down but as it turns out it hadn't. His bowel sounds are still good just waiting for the last little bit to "wake up". He did have a couple of itty bitty stools today just enough to stain the diaper but hey that is something!! He continues to receive the TBN. His lungs are sounding better and he's coughing more so the congestion is getting better. Jennifer has been moving him around a lot in the bed and she's had him up and down during the day. He had some fever this afternoon but the tylenol took care of it. We really think it's coming from the tumor because he's been almost 6 weeks without chemo. As soon as they get the tube out of his tummy, and see how he is going to do on liquids he will have a full body scan. He has to be able to drink the contrast so they can distinguish between the tumor and other organs when they perform the scan. Beau's great-grandpa & grandma Miller as well as great auntie Carol and great uncle Jeff came from Lexington to see him today so he had a busy afternoon. We continue to receive so many wonderful notes and prayers and it helps so much. Please continue to pray for Beau and his mommy and daddy. Once again, thanks so much to all for your love, support and prayers. God Bless!!

Wasn't it a beautiful day out today. We were able to take Beau out to the pediatric play ground for a little while this afternoon. He wouldn't walk around much but we enjoyed sitting in the fresh air. He also spent some time in the playroom as well. We're trying to get him up and moving around as much as possible to help clear the congestion from his lungs. Ms. Brenda one of his favorite people has been his respiratory therapist the last few days. She always takes time to play with him. They had a good time playing with the bubbles today. Dr. Pence ordered an xray of his bowels today to make sure everything was getting back to normal. As it turned out one of Beau's buddies, Anthony, was the one who came to take him to Xray. He loved riding in the wagon there and back and didn't want to go back to his room. He wanted to keep on riding. You can see their picture below. The xrays of his bowels looked fine. He still has one small area where the stomach empties into the bowels that hasn't totally opened up but it will it's just taking its own sweet time. He will continue to have the tube into his tummy until that opens up and everything can drain like it is supposed to. He is still receiving the TBN or liquid pizza as Dr. Pence calls it. He ended up having a busy day today so he was ready to just chill out about 5 pm. Hopefully, they will all get a good nights rest. Daddy spends every night with them at the hospital. Jen has so many wonderful co-workers at the hospital and they have been so good about coming by to check on Beau and see Jen. It has meant so much to her. So to all of you thanks so much for caring about our dear Jennifer
