Beau DiddleyBeau went into the clinic today to have his counts checked.
They were all in the low range of normal. Dr. Grossi decided to go ahead and give him blood today so they checked into
the AMU. Daddy brought them lunch then he and mommy got a nap while he received his blood. He will go back to
the clinic on Friday to have his counts rechecked. He finally had 3 good bowel movements today. He acted
like he felt better and he ate his "puffs" today so at least he was finally hungry. He wanted Dada so they
made a trip to Dada's office to see him. He wanted to talk to Kayla so they called and he and Kayla talked.
They are so cute talking to each other. If Beau is feeling well tomorrow, we are going to take them to Briley's
Pumpkin Patch and trick or treating in Beau's neighborhood. Thank you Lord today was a good day. 1
Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain, faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. We have made it thru the last 11 months because of faith, hope and love. Faith in God and the fact we
know he loves Beau, and faith that God can do all things above and beyond what he can imagine so he can heal our
little warrior. Hope that Beau will have more good days than bad. Hope that he will have adventures and fun times
with family and friends when he's not in the hospital. And Love, the love of so many wonderful and caring people.
The love of people we don't know but who have come to love our little warrior. The love of the his doctors, nurses
and other staff that always take such good care of him. And, the love of his mommy and dada and grandparents and cousins.
We have been so blessed in so many ways over the last 11 months. Thank you Lord that Beau finally had a good bowel movement
today. Thank you that he decided he wanted something to eat. Please continue to pray for our little warrior
and that God's healing power continues to flow thru his body and the chemo is continuing to kill the tumor. Pray
once his counts they will rise backup quickly. Pray Beau has a good day tomorrow so he can wear his Bob the Builder
costume and go trick or treating. Thanks so much to everyone for their continued love and support and for all the prayers
that go up each day for Beau. God Bless! Love, Grammy

Beau's Enjoying Being HomeGood evening all! Beau is enjoying his time at home.
He slept good last night and didn't get up until about 10 this morning. He watched the Disney Channel while mommy
got some things done. Kayla and I went over this afternoon and went with them to do some errands. Beau loves "Malmart"
so we made a stop there for mommy to get a few things. Beau decided he wanted boots like daddy and fortunately we found
some that satisfied him. He had to put them on when we got in the car. Daddy just happened to be at the house
when we got there and Beau was so excited. He couldn't wait to show his new boots to him. They went to Grand-dad
& Grandma Miller's for dinner tonight to celebrate Auntie Kelly's birthday. They will go into the clinic
in the morning to have his counts checked. He isn't eating but is drinking apple juice and "coca".
He did want a pop-tart about the time we got back to the house. He took one bite but when he saw daddy that pop-tart
was put aside. Hopefully, he ate a little at Grandad's house. He continues to receive his TPN each night so
he is getting his nourishment. Romans 8:31 ...If God is for us, who can be against us? God continues to watch after our little warrior and his family. Please continue to pray that God's
healing power is flowing thru Beau and the chemo continues to kick some "neuroblastoma butt". Beau has a little
cough we think is coming from sinus drainage and his left eye is a little puffy so please pray that both of those clear up
soon as well as his constipation problem. Please pray he will stay well when his counts drop and that they will shoot
back up quickly. Please say a prayer today for Grace Oughton's family. She earned her angel wings yesterday
morning at 6:32 am after a two year battle with neuroblastoma. Her dad was one of the riders in the Loneliest
Road Campaign. Grace was 3 yrs. old. May God's grace and mercy be with them in the weeks ahead. Thanks so
much to everyone for continuing to pray for our little warrior. Prayers are what keep us strong. God Bless!! Love, Grammy

Beau Goes HomeBeau went home yesterday praise the Lord! He had
a good night Friday night and he was able to sleep with no pain medicine. Once they got home, he wanted to
"go" so they made a quick trip to "Malmart" in Washington. He does love to ride. He and mommy
got a short nap and went to Chick Filet to get some dinner. I called her when they were on the way there
and they were at the stop light and he was hollering and didn't like it because they had to stop. He wanted to GO.
He likes to keep moving. He ate a few bites of a hotdog. They went to Grand-dad's place at the river today
to see Great Grandma & Papaw Miller. Beau wantedto ride in the golf cart and they had some lunch. One
side effect of this chemo is extreme tiredness. After he had his ride and a few bites of lunch, he was ready to ride
and go home for a nap. They did go with daddy to the dog pens late this afternoon. I talked to her a little while
ago and he was getting a bath which he hates. He isn't eating much but is drinking apple juice and some tea and
"coca". He is still having some problems with constipation. Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. We will continue to pray that God's healing power is flowing thru Beau's body and the chemo is
continuing to kill the tumor. Please pray he gets a good nights rest and won't be as tired tomorrow. Also,
pray he will have a good bowel movement and can eat a little more than he has. Please pray that he won't have any
problem when his counts drop this time. Thanks so much for your continued love and prayers. God Bless! Love,
Grammy

What A Difference A Day Makes!!!!Praise God and to Him be all the glory!! What a difference
a day makes!! Beau had a good day today. It started out a tad rocky but has ended up being good. He had
his morphine to get him thru the night but hasn't had any since 6 am. I got there a little after 8 and he was drinking
pediasure then he wanted "coca". He calls soft drinks "coca" He had some and threw up.
That went on for about 15 min or so and then it was over. We think the pediasure was a little heavy on his tummy.
He drank "coca" after that and kept it down. He's not a morning person so once he got pass his morning
grouchiness he was ok. We loaded him in the wagon and went down to the bake sale the respiratory therapy dept. was having.
As most of you know Jennifer is a respiratory therapist and works at the hospital. Her co-workers were so glad to see
them and we bought lots of goodies from them. Beau decided he wanted some ham biscuits and said they were for the nurse.
He held on tight to them all the way back to 2 West. He kept wanting to give them to the nurse and we kept asking him
do you want Pam and he'd say yes and when she came that isn't who he wanted, next we tried Angela and no that wasn't
right. We couldn't figure out which one he wanted. Jen said do you want Felicia and he said no. She
was his nurse today. Finally Jen said do you want the one that fixed your line and he said yes. He really did
want Felicia. She wasn't available then so we went back to the room. When sh finally came in, he held out
the bag and said here nurse. She said are these for me buddy and he said yes. She about cried. He was so
sweet. He was happy once she had her biscuits. Ms. Pam was his nurse yesterday. Several times his IV started
beeping when we were walking in the hall. He didn't want anybody to fix it but Pam. They had to go get her
out of a patient's room to come help Beau. He loves all his nurses and they have been so good to him. He love his
doctors too and several times today he asked for them. He would get upset when they left and a couple of times we had
to go walking the halls to see if we could find them just so he wouldn't cry. You can't fool him either.
The residents don't count he wants his main doctors. He is a mess. He was such a different child today - a
360 degree turn from yesterday. The prayers of so many storming the heavens this week got him thru the rough days and
now he is more like our little warrior. I called a little while ago and he answered the phone. I said Beau this is Grammy
and he said where is Kayla! He does love his Kayla. I told him Grammy and GPaw had been to eat pizza. He
asked Jennifer for pizza then a cheeseburger. He may not eat anything but at least he was asking. If things go
well tonight, he will probably go home tomorrow. Tylenol did the trick today. He did grab at his side some
like he did yesterday but the Tylenol seem to keep any pain he had in control. They continue to push the fluids so he
should feel even better tomorrow. If he goes home tomorrow, he will go into the clinic on Tuesday to have his blood
counts checked. Hebrews 11:2 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of
what we do not see. So many people have been storming the heavens with prayers for Beau
this week. We hoped the pain would subside and we hope the chemo is "kicking some neuroblastoma butt" even
as I write this. We could not see any of this taking place but we have faith in God and we know He has heard all the prayers.
We trust in God and know he will take care of our little warrior - his little warrior. Beau had some tough moments and
yesterday especially was hard but if it takes those hard times to kill the cancer cells then so be it. God will see
us thru those times and will hold Beau close in his arms thru it all. Yesterday, God had a heavy load because he was
carrying Beau, mommy and Grammy. It was so hard seeing him hurt so God had to carry us all. Today we sing praises
and thank God for getting us thru the last few days and for bringing our little warrior some peace and comfort today.
We thank God for all the wonderful friends and family who have prayed continuously for our little one and for all the wonderful
messages that have been left for him. You will never know how much it means to us all and what a comfort they are. Please
continue to pray that the God's healing power is continuing to flow thru Beau Diddley's little body and that the chemo
is working over time killing and shrinking the tumor. Pray they all have a good nights rest tonight and that he will
be able to go home tomorrow and enjoy some time in his home. But, most of all we thank you Lord for this precious little
one that you have given us. Thank you for taking care of him and for all the joy he brings not only to us but to so
many others. We love him so much Lord!! I leave you once again with a short prayer by Sue Richards. Thank you, Lord, for granting me strength to live through the difficult times. And thank you for holding
me up, especially in my most vulnerable moments. Amen!! Love, Grammy

Beau Finishes ChemoGood evening!! Beau finished up his chemo late this
afternoon. These last few days of chemo have been really hard on him. It's been the strongest dose yet
and it has been very tough on him. Please pray it was even tougher on the bad neuroblastoma cells. He
slept ok last night but was restless off and on due to pain. They gave him a small dose of morphine late this morning
and that did the trick. He had to have another dose late this afternoon. He's received meds to protect his
kidney and will continue to receive fluids tonight to hydrate him and flush his system out. He continues to receive
TPN as well. He's rested today when he could and watch some of his videos. His wonderful nurses kept check
on him all day and did what they could to make him comfortable. Even the ones not assigned to him today came by
to check on him. We have truly been blessed with such wonderful caring people on 2 West. Romans
8:25-26 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps up in
our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words
cannot express. We pray that the chemo has kick some "neroblastoma butt" this
time. We don't know what the results are and won't for a couple of weeks until they can do the CT scan but we
will wait patiently knowing that God is in control and is taking care of our little warrior. We believe and claim in
Jesus name that the tumor is shrinking as I write this. Today has been tough on our little warrior at times. He was
in such pain for a short time and all he knew to do was cry and say hurt. There was nothing we could do for him but
try to comfort him and it broke my heart that I could not take his pain away for him. God knew what Beau's groans
meant. Beau doesn't know how to pray but God understood and he was there holding him in his loving arms. We
will continue to trust and have faith in God for he does have a plan for Beau - for all of us. Please continue to pray
that God's healing power is flowing thru Beau's body at this very moment healing and restoring him. Pray he
will have a night free of pain and tomorrow will be a good day for him. Pray they all get a good nights rest tonight.
Thank you God for taking care of our little warrior. Thank you for always being there holding him close in your arms.
And, thank you for the wonderful people that you have put on 2 West that care for and love our little warrior. They
don't just care for him because it is their job they care for him because they love him and they truly want what is best
for him. Thank you Lord for the many blessings over the last 11 months. I leave you with another prayer written
by Sue Richards. Abba, Father, your love and concern for me when I am at my most vulnerable
times in life is beyond my understanding. I thank you for the gracious gift of your Holy Spirit. Amen!! Love,
Grammy

Beau Has A Sleepy DayGood evening everyone! Beau had a restless night last
night. He was sick on his tummy off and on so they didn't get much sleep last night. Jennifer and Beau stayed
in the bed for awhile and daddy went to work. The doctor decided to do an Xray to be sure everything was ok so daddy
came back to the hospital to go with Beau so mommy could get her shower. Once they got downstairs, Beau decided he wanted
his mommy so Jen had to go down after all. He slept off and on once they came back and did so for the rest of the afternoon.
The Xrays were fine there were no obstructions so they tested his urine and everything was fine there as well. Two of
the side effects of the chemo he is receiving is burning and irritation when urinating as well as extreme tiredness.
So they assume it is the chemo that is causing his problems. He will receive both chemos again tomorrow as well as one
he has not received before. That one may cause him to be very sick. We pray the nausea meds will help. They
continue to flush him with fluids to keep him hydrated and to help his kidney. He continues to receive TPN as well.
Jeremiah 29 11 For I know the plans I have your you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and
not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. This is Beau's scripture the
one we have clung to since this started. God has a plan for Beau's life. At times like this, those plans may
not seem clear or make sense. God didn't promise the road would be smooth with no bumps or potholes but he did promise
he would always be with us. He carries us when we can't take another step. He's been holding Beau in his
arms every day since this started. He is comforting him when he is hurting. We must continue to trust and have
faith in God. He will see us thru this. Please pray that Beau, Jennifer and Parham have a restful night tonight.
Pray the chemos tomorrow won't be so hard on our little warrior. Please pray the nausea meds help as well as the
other meds they are giving him to help his tummy. Please continue to pray that God's healing power is flowing thru
Beau's body guiding the chemo to the tumors and kicking their neuroblastoma "butts". Thanks so much to everyone
that has been leaving messages for our little warrior over the last few days. They mean so much and help us all get
thru the day. God has richly blessed us with so many wonderful caring friends - even ones we don't know but have
been touched by Beau. I leave you with this prayer written by Sue Richards. Thank
you, Father, for having plans for my life. Not just when things are going great, but especially for having plans when
life calls for a change, and you are there showing me thepath you have chosen just for me. Amen!! Love Grammy

Beau Meets Famous BMX RidersGood evening all! Beau had a real treat this afternoon.
Six world famous BMX bike riders visited the Children's Hospital this afternoon and Beau got to meet them and get their
autographs. Scott and Jennifer of Fusion Surf and Skate shop gave Beau a "Fusion" hat so we had all the guys
sign his hat. They also signed a poster and gave him a bunch of stickers. Thanks so much to Ryan Nyquist, Mike
Mancuso, Dan Sieg, Rob Darden, Marcus Tooker and Scott Wirch for taking time out of your busy schedule to come visit
the kids at the Children's Hospital. It was a real treat and greatly appreciated. A special thanks to Mike and Dan
for taking a few minutes to talk to us about Beau and his condition and for allowing us to tell them about neuroblastoma,
The Band of Parents and our fight to raise money for research and development. They were very interested and really
listened to what we had to say. They both told Beau they would be praying for him. Dan's mom is also fighting
cancer so please say a prayer for Mrs. Sieg. Again, thanks guys for a special afternoon. Beau wanted to get out
of the room so mommy, Ma, Kayla and Grammy walked to the cafeteria and got ice cream. Beau enjoyed his ride and was
ready for a nap when we returned to the room. He wasn't as peppy today or as sociable but that is understandable.
He did want to see the doctor this morning and every-time he heard a door open he thought it was the doctor. He was
happy once they came in and saw him. He doesn't want them to check him but he does like to see them. Thank
the Lord he loves his Drs. They have been so good to him. Beau continues on his TPN and a med for the little sores
in his mouth and nausea meds. He will get 2 chemo drugs tomorrow and three on Thursday. As one of the neuroblastoma moms said, in the real world your child is very sick but in the neuroblastoma
world he/she could be doing well. Life for families in the neuroblastoma world is a hectic roller coaster ride.
Each day can bring a new twist or turn or a "mountain high" or a "valley low". Yesterday we were
on that crazy roller coaster and we hit the "valley low". Today we are on that climb up the mountain.
It's a slow climb but with God's help we will make it. Thousands of people all over the world are praying for
Beau. He has received so many wonderful messages on his website. We have so much to be thankful for and have been
blessed beyond words by our little warrior. He is an inspiration to everyone that sees him and hears about him.
God is using him in a mighty way. Please continue to storm the heavens with the prayer that God's healing power
and the chemo will flow thru Beau's body and kick some "neuroblastoma butt". We pray that God's hand continues
to be on all of Beau's doctors, nurses and other staff as they make decisions about our little warrior and continue to
care for him each day. Thank you God for putting such wonderful and caring people in our lives. I leave you with
this poem by Louisa M.R. Stead. God Bless!! Love, Grammy Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, Just
to take Him at His word, Just to rest upon His Promise, Just to know, "Thus saith the Lord."
I'm so glad I learned to trust Thee Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend; And I know that Thou are with me, Wilt
be with me to the end.
Jesus, Jesus how I trust Him! How I've proved Him o'er and o'er! Jesus,
Jesus, precious Jesus! O for grace to trust Him more!

Urgent Prayer RequestGood evening all!! We finally got the results from
Beau's CT scan back today and it was not what we wanted to hear. The tumor had grown a little. It was not
a large amount but it had grown. Also, a portion of the tumor is pressing on the esophagus and his esophagus is inflamed. They
feel like that is why he has been throwing up. There are also some lymph nodes which have been affected as well. The
radiologist could not say for sure if they were infected or if they were diseased. Beau's white count is up but
he has not had any fever. He takes a particular drug when he finishes chemo to bring his white cell count back up.
He's been off that for a week so his count should be back down in the normal range but it's not it's still up.
There are two tests that are tumor markers. They got the results back from one today and it was a tad lower than before
which is good. The result for the other one isn't back yet. Dr. Grossi thinks it will be up be we pray it
is not. Beau was due to start chemo today but they took a step back for a few hours until Dr. Grossi consulted with
Dr. Gilman at UNC. Beau cannot go to Chapel Hill for the stem cell transplant until the tumor has shrunk. If it
had shrunk this time, he would have gone on to UNC to start the stem cell process but since it hadn't he will remain here
for another round of chemo. He will receive three drugs in this round of chemo. Two of the drugs he has not had
before and one drug Jennifer believes he had once early on. The dosage will be higher and two of the drugs are very
toxic and can harm his kidney so they have to be very careful to get the dosage just right. They will start chemo in
the morning. Beau has not eaten much in the last week but does continue on his TPN. They are giving him fluids right
now to get him hydrated. You can tell he doesn't feel well right now. Psalm 25:1-2 To
you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God. We got news today we didn't
want to hear but we must continue to trust in God. God can do above and beyond and more than we could ever imagine.
We must continue to trust and have faith in God. Beau is his child and he loves him more than we could ever imagine.
PLEASE PLEASE STORM THE HEAVENS TO NIGHT WITH THIS PRAYER - GOD PLEASE LET YOUR HEALING POWER AND THE CHEMO FLOW THRU BEAU'S
BODY THIS WEEK AND KNOCK THE TUMOR DOWN. KILL IT AND SHRINK IT. WE PRAY THIS IN JESUS' NAME. Please continue
to pray for Jennifer and Parham and that God's grace is new for them each morning giving them the strength to face what
comes their way that day. Please pray that God's hands are on Dr. Grossi and his staff as they attend to our little
warrior over the next few days. We have people all over the world praying for Beau tonight. The heaven's are
being stormed with this prayer tonight. God hears and will listen. Thanks so much for your prayers, love and support.
They mean so much and get us thru each day. God Bless!! Love Grammy

Beau Returns to the HospitalGood evening all! Beau returned to the hospital today.
He continues with the constipation problem. He was still having problems yesterday and was throwing up some so Dr. Grossi
had them come in yesterday morning for an Xray. It appeared he was pretty constipated so they head back home and used
a child's enema and he was able to have a bowel movement but still not enough to clean him out good. Jen and
Beau then went to her dad's office (where they were tailgating before the football game) for about 30 min. so everyone
could see Beau but he wasn't too sociable so they headed on home. Big cousin David came to ECU as a football
recruit for ECU so he, Uncle Buddy & Cousin Whitney went to the game and Auntie Rene she spent the afternoon
with Beau and Mommy. Grammy went out and spent time with them as well. Gabby (beagle) wanted out so Grammy let
her out. We were busy talking and forgot she was out. Grammy and Auntie Nay were getting ready to leave when we realized
we forgot to let Gabby in. Well, we couldn't find her. Grammy got in the car and round around and Auntie Nay
walked thru the neighborhood with her dog dish rattling it and calling her. Mommy and Beau were in the backyard calling
her. There is a big field behind their house and some woods and Gabby sometimes goes out into the field.
Corn was planted there and now there are soybeans that didn't make it because it's been so dry are
there and are about 2 ft tall. Finally, Auntie Nay went out into the field - walking carefully - hollering and shaking
the dish. She said she was afraid she would meet up with a snake so she was stepping carefully as she went.
She looked kind of silly walking out there shaking the dish. Mommy stood up on daddy's tractor so she could see
better and Beau sat in the stroller watching it all. He probably thought we were all crazy. Finally, after about
30 min. here comes Gabby running out of the field. Auntie Nay worked her way out of the field and said "I guess
I am one of the children of the corn". Gabby looked like she had a great time out there. That was our
excitement for the afternoon. Beau continued to throw-up some last night so Dr. Grossi had them check in today.
They got to the hospital around 12:30 and got settled in. They ordered a CT scan but it was late this afternoon before
they got it done so it will be tomorrow before we find out the results. Psalm 28:8 The Lord is
my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. We pray for good results
from the CT scan. Please pray Beau's constipation problem will quickly be resolved and he gets back on tract.
We pray he does well with his chemo this week and won't be sick from it. Thank you Lord for the good days Beau has
had over the last few weeks and for the fun things he has been able to do. Thank you Lord for always being there for
him and for always taking care of him. We pray for God's healing power to flow thru Beau. And,
Lord please continue to give Jennifer and Parham the strength to meet what each day brings. God Bless! Love,
Grammy

-*Beau DiddleyGood afternoon! Beau is doing well. Still battling
the constipation thing. Dr. Grossi told Jen to continue with the meds she was using as well as a stool softener.
Jennifer had an afternoon at the Lavender Spa yesterday courtesy of the nurses & staff of 2 West. She said it was
wonderful and she felt so good when she was finished. She said she could do that every week. Thanks so much to
everyone on 2 West that contributed to Jennifer's afternoon. It was much needed and appreciated. God Bless
you all! Beau stayed with Grammy and Kayla. He sat in the recliner most of the time and played with toys Kayla
gave him. He kept wanting to go riding so we finally got in the car a little after 3 and road to Auntie Julie's
office. Auntie Julie, Sharon and Billie Jo came out to see Beau and Kayla. Grammy and Beau walked over and watched
the trash man load up the dumpster and take it away. Beau thought that was cool. Then we went and waited on mommy
to finish and watched the movie Open Season. Today mommy, daddy and Beau met with Dr. Grossi to talk about the plan for the
next few months. Beau will check back into PCMH on Monday for another round of chemo. They will do a CT scan while
he's there as well. Dr. Grossi was going to email Dr. Gilman today to let him know they were starting chemo on Monday.
Beau should report to Chapel Hill 4 weeks from the first of next week for that round of chemo and his stem cell transplant.
Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Beau has had some really good days over the last few weeks. He's played, gone places and had fun
- your typical 2 yr. old. At times, you forget he has been sick. This week he hasn't been quite as perky because
of the constipation so you let some worry creep back in and you start focusing on what is wrong with him instead of focusing
on what God can do. As Psalm 27:14 says we must wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart. God can do all things
above and beyond what we could ever imagine. Jen and I have been following 7 children who also have neuroblastoma.
Their dads' road in the Loneliest Road Campaign to raise money for research and development of the humanized 3f8 antibody
as well as new drugs to help kids with neuroblastoma. Out of these 7 kids, 5 kids are not doing well and it
brings you back to reality. In the normal world, all these kids are sick, in the neuroblastoma world some kids are doing
well and some aren't. We don't live in a normal world anymore. Our world revolves around this beast called
neuroblastoma. The Loneliest Road Campaign has raised $400,000+ so far but we need between 3-5 million for the pharmaceutical
companies to manufacture the humanized 3f8 antibody and do research for new drugs for this rare cancer. This is the
price tag they put on our children's lives. Is that right??? No it isn't but that is the real world. Jennifer
and I have joined The Band of Parents and will do what we can to help raise money for "our kids". Please,
please pray not only for Beau but for Grace, Jack, Sydney, Cody, Kai, Marissa, and Taylor and all the other children with
neuroblastoma and other childhood cancers. And, if your heart leads you to, please make a donation to The Band of Parents
- in Beau's honor. Jennifer has their website link on Beau's home page. This is run by volunteers so 100%
of your donation will go to the campaign for research and development and it is tax deductible. Please pray that Beau
will have a good weekend and that the meds will work so he won't be bothered with constipation anymore. Pray that
the chemo continues to work and the CT scan next week will show even more of the tumor has been killed. Pray the chemo
next week with go at any tumor left in Beau's body with a vengeance and that God's healing power will be flowing thru
Beau's body. Please continue to pray for God's grace and mercy for Jennifer and Parham and for their strength
to meet each day head on. And, as always, thank you so very much for all your prayers, love and concern. They
give us all the strength to meet another day. God Bless! Love, Grammy

Beau Has Two Good DaysGood evening all!! Beau is doing pretty well.
Monday night he was a little restless. He seems to be having problems with constipation so Jen has been giving him something
for it. He doesn't act that bad but he will have spells of saying my tummy hurts and he groans. She has to
take a urine sample into the clinic in the morning so she's going to get them to check him. Yesterday, Kayla and
I hung out with them most of the afternoon. We went to Kohls so Jen could return somethings and then to Sonic. Today
Jennifer and Beau went with Jennifer's friends Mandy and Karen and their kids to lunch at Logans. Beau wanted to
sit on mommy's lap the whole time but they had a good time and enjoyed themselves. Daddy had the day off today so
they went with him to the hunt club this afternoon and road around. I just talked to Jen and she said they had a good
time with daddy. Psalm 62:1 My soul finds rest in God alone.... Please
pray that Beau's meds work and he has a good bowel movement tonight. Pray his appetite picks up and he eats
more over the next couple of days. Once he can go to the bathroom, I think his appetite will get better. Pray
the chemo is working as we speak and is continuing to kill the tumors. Please pray Beau gets a good nights rest
tonight and his tummy won't bother him. Thanks so much for all your prayers, love and concern. God Bless! Love, Grammy

Beau Is Going StrongGood evening all! Beau had a good weekend. He
attended Caleb's 1st birthday party Saturday afternoon. He played and ate a whole piece of pizza. Jennifer
said he was a little shy at first but finally got down and PLAYED. They slept in late on Sunday morning and went to
Cracker Barrel for lunch. They road with daddy to take care of the dogs and just relaxed the rest of the afternoon.
He continues to eat well - hotdogs and candy corn are the thing right now. This morning they got up and went into
the clinic to have his counts checked. He was doing well. It looks like Beau will stay here at PCMH for one
more round of chemo and will then go to Chapel Hill to start the stem cell transplant process. Beau does get
to stay home the rest of the week and will report to the hospital next Monday. If we stay on that schedule,
Beau will be at Chapel Hill for Thanksgiving but should be home for Christmas. Grammy and Kayla went over this
afternoon and Beau and Kayla played for a little while. Beau got down and they actually played and had fun.
Beau is so sweet and adorable and his word right now is "yes". He continue to talk up a storm. Yesterday
morning as son as he woke up he said, "go to Malmart and get candy corn". Auntie Nay said he must be
a "Malmart" junkie if he already knows that much about shopping at Walmart and he's only 2. Mommy and
Daddy had something to do this evening so Beau went over to stay with Ma and Hodgie. Philippians
4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! We rejoice in the Lord today
because Beau is doing so well. He's done so well the last few days and has been able to have fun
just being a little boy. We truly believe it's the result of all the prayers going up for him and especially the
prayers of two wonderful women who have prayed over him recently. God is good all the time - all the time God is good.
Please pray that Beau will continue to do well over this next week so he can continue to stay home and have fun being a little
boy. Pray his appetite continues to be good so he can gain some more weight and get even stronger. And, we thank
you Lord for taking such good care of our little warrior. And, thanks to everyone for all their love and continued prayers.
God Bless!! Love Grammy

Beau Goes Riding in the Fire TruckBeau had a wonderful day yesterday. He and mommy took
it easy around the house yesterday morning. Then in the afternoon they picked up Kayla did some errands and then met
daddy, Grandma Miller, Aunt Kelly and Brianna at the main fire station downtown. They got a tour of the station and
all the fire trucks. He got to wear one of the fireman's hats. It was very exciting. Then Beau got a
big surprise. He actually got to ride in one of the fire trucks - yes ride in the fire truck. They don't normally
do this but they made an exception for Beau and we are so thankful for this. They put his car seat in the passenger
seat and mommy and daddy rode in the back seats. Jennifer said she thinks Beau would have gone without her because he
never said a word or acted scared. They put him in the seat and he was ready to go. They road across Green Street
bridge out of town a little ways then came back. It was such a great experience for Beau and he loved every minute of
it. It was a wonderful surprise. Thank you so very much to Fireman Jake and everyone at the main fire station
downtown on Fifth Street for being so good to our little warrior and for allowing him to ride in the fire truck. This
is an experience he will never forget and we are so very grateful to you for taking time out of your day to do this for him.
Our firemen are very special and this just shows how wonderful they are. God Bless you all! When they were finished
Beau, mommy, Kayla, Brianna, and Aunt Kelly went back to Grandma's house for pizza. Jennifer said he ate a whole
piece of pizza. Praise the Lord. Beau, Brianna and Kayla had a good time playing together. Finally, it was time
to go home. God really blessed us Friday. Beau had a wonderful time. Today, Beau gets to go to Caleb's
1st birthday party. Mandy and Jennifer are best friends and work together. We are so glad Beau will be able to
attend the party. Beau has been doing great. He's eating better, sleeping well and talking up a storm. We
thought he was going to be laid back like his daddy but we are now seeing that he is going to be a "talker" like
the rest of Grammy's family. I talked to him this morning and got kisses over the phone. He goes into the
clinic on Monday to get his counts checked and find out when his next chemo treatment will start. It should be the end
of next week or the first of the next week. We hope he can get one more week at home before he goes back in. 1
Chronicles 16:34 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. We
give thanks to you today Lord for the wonderful week Beau has had this week. We thank you for
continuing to take care of our little warrior. We thank you for the strength you give Jennifer and Parham each day.
Thank you Lord for the wonderful firemen here in Greenville especially the crew at the main fire station. They are a
wonderful group of people. Thank you Lord the wonderful doctor, nurses and other staff that take care of our little
warrior. We have truly been blessed with such caring people. Lord thank you for the the two wonderful ladies that
have prayed over Beau recently. We really believe your healing power was working thru them and have been working miracles
in our little warriors life. Please pray that Beau continues to eat well and gain weight. We pray he stays well this
next week so Beau can have some more fun before he returns to the hospital. We pray his appetite stays good so
he will continue to eat well. And, thank you for being the wonderful, glorious God that you are and for your grace and mercy
that are new everyday. God Bless!! Love, Grammy

Beau Has A Great DayGood evening all! Beau stopped and had dinner with
Granddad & Grandma Miller on the way home yesterday. When he was finished eating, he told mommy go home go to bed.
He was tired. He slept well last night and was up about 8:30 this morning. He played while mommy got some things
done and was back down for a nap around noon. This afternoon Grammy and Kayla met Aunt Kelly, cousin Brianna, Beau,
Aunt Jennifer, Ms Mandy and Caleb at the park. Beau just wanted to sit on mommy's lap the whole time but he watched
the kids play and ate his snack. When it was finally time to go home, he decided he wanted to swing and had a terrible
two moment. He fell asleep in the car so mommy road him around for awhile. Tomorrow if all goes well Beau, mommy,
Aunt Kelly, Brianna, Kayla and Auntie Julie will make a trip to the fire department to check out the fire trucks. Plans
are still in the works so pray it all works out. Beau looks good and is eating some. He was chowing down on fries
and puffs this afternoon. He always seems to have a better appetite when he goes home. Psalm
25:1 To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God. Thank you Lord
for another good day today for Beau. He felt good and has some fun today. It was such a joy to see his smiling,
happy face. Please continue to watch over our little warrior Lord. Keep him strong over the next few days so he can
have some fun and visit with family and friends before his next round of chemo. We pray the chemo is continuing to kill
the tumors and his body is growing stronger each day. Thank you Lord once again for all the wonderful family and friends
that keep Beau in their prayers each day. They are working. God Bless! Love, Grammy

BEAU GOES HOMEGood evening all! Praise the Lord our little warrior
went home this afternoon. Beau had a really good day yesterday. He was very active and very talkative. All
the nurses couldn't believe how much he was talking. Mommy got the wagon and they rode around the nurses station.
Beau wanted to have a parade so he and mommy were the parade and as they road around and around the nurses station Beau threw
out candy to the nurses and staff. After a while he kept saying Dr., Dr. so they went and got Dr. Grossi and Beau threw
candy to him. He got to go to the playroom as well. We prayed since his counts were going up and he was acting
so well they would let him go home today. First thing this morning, he wanted to throw candy at the doctor so we gave
him several boxes which he kept right beside him. One of his special nurses' assistants gave him a cute drum/musical
toys. So Beau, mommy and Grammy were playing drums, tambourine and xylophone and were singing while we waited for the
doctor to make rounds. As soon as Dr. Grossi opened the door, Beau started throwing his candy. Dr. Grossi and
nurse Diane said it sounds like Beau is ready to go home. We were YES!!!!! Beau received a blood transfusion this
afternoon and a dose of antibiotics and was out the door by 4:30. He will continue to receive antibiotics, TPN and another
drug while he's at home. We'll find out by Friday when his next chemo will be. He goes back into the clinic
on Monday to get his counts checked. He was ready to go home and we pray he will have a good time at home for the next
few days. Psalm 8:1 O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.
Thank you Lord for our little warrior and for the good week he has had. Thank you for letting
this stay at the hospital be short and for letting Beau do so well. We pray he has good days ahead and will get to do
some fun things while he is at home. We pray the chemo is continuing to do its work and the tumors are continuing to
die. We pray that Beau's appetite will pick up while he is at home and he will eat well and gain some more weight.
Thank you Lord for the wonderful staff on 2 West and ask that you bless them all. They take such good care of Beau and
his mommy and have become such good friends. Thank you Lord for all the wonderful friends out there that continue to
pray for our little warrior daily. And, Lord we ask you blessings on the Loneliest Road Campaign and that the goal of 3-5
million will be met sooner than later - so many kids lives depend on the research that will be done with this money.
And, Lord, thank you for being the wonderful awesome God that you are. We love you!!! God Bless Love Grammy

Beau's Doing WellGood morning all!! Our little warrior is doing well
this morning. He was in a better mood - at least until mommy decided to take a shower. He looks and acts better
this morning. Dr. Grossi said his counts went up a little more so it looks like we are on the upswing as far as that
goes. He had no fever last night. He did tell Jennifer he wanted to go home. The fire department "clown"
and "fire dog" (person dressed up like a Dalmatian) made a visit to the Peds floor yesterday. Beau got to
take his picture with them and he got to look out the window at the big red fire truck. Their favorite room is one on
the end that over looks the parking lot and Stantonsburg Rd. It was vacant yesterday and that is the room they went
into to look out at the fire truck. Jennifer made the comment this is our favorite room because it's a little larger
and Beau and sit at the window and watch everything going on outside. The next thing Jennifer knew they were moving
them into that room. Then a group of the nurses came in and presented Jennifer with a gift certificate to
the Lavender Days Spa to get a message, facial, manicure and pedicure. What a wonderful group of nurses and assistants on
2 West. They have truly become Beau's extended family. We can't say enough about how great they are and how
good they are to Jennifer and Beau. God Bless you all!! Psalm 18:1-2 I love you
Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the strength of my salvation, and my stronghold. God continues to be our
strength, our rock and our fortress in the low times. He is there 24/7 watching over Beau and holding him close in his arms.
We praise him and thank him for all he has done, is doing and will do in Beau's life. Please pray Beau's counts
shoot on up so he can go home for a few days. He was drinking his pediasure this morning when I left. Please pray
his appetite picks up and he will eat some regular food today - candy corn was still the thing yesterday. Pray the chemo
is killing the tumors as we speak. God Bless! Love, Grammy

Beau's Still in HospitalGood day all!! Our little warrior is still at the hospital.
Blood tests show he has an infection in his blood and belly. Same thing he had the last time after chemo. His own
germs are attacking him. His white count was up a "hair" today so prayerfully it will start to climb and that
with the antibiotics he's receiving will help get rid of the infections quickly. He rested a lot yesterday.
He had a low grade fever most of the day yesterday and it was up a little over 100 last night but he rested ok. He's
not eating much but continues to receive his TPN at night. He is drinking some pediasure. He was watching a movie when
I left this morning. I guess you can say "same old same old". He's doing well considering the infection.
Psalm 6:2 Have compassion on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my body is in agony.
Lord we pray for Beau's little body today. Please let your healing power flow thru
his blood and belly and heal the infection living there. We pray the chemo continues to do it's work and the tumors
are continuing to die off even as we speak. Please pray that Beau's appetite will increase and he will start eating
more so he can continue to grow strong. Thanks so much for all the prayers continuing to go up on Beau's behalf.

Beau Has Good Day at HospitalGood evening! Beau's cultures show he does have
an infection in his blood but we don't yet know what kind. It's not unexpected since his white count bottomed
out. He continues to receive antibiotics. Jen said he had fever off and on all night and today but the Tylenol
takes care of it. Despite that he rested pretty well last night. He's had a pretty good day today considering
the infection. Candy Corn seems to be "the thing" the last couple of days. He told mommy he wanted candy
corn yesterday so she bought him some. He's been in a sharing mood today and has shared with nurses and staff.
He kept telling mommy he wanted to give some to the doctor but at that point he had not come in. I talk to her a little
while ago and she said he was in a good mood. He had been watching movies on the portable DVD player she got this week.
That has been a blessing. He loves Nemo, Barney and Bob the Builder. He wants to be Bob the Builder with a tool belt
for Halloween. He probably won't get to go trick or treating but he will have his Bob the Builder costume and we'll
make sure he has a good time. They don't know how long they will be at the hospital. I assume it depends on
how quick his counts come back up and they get control of the infection. Joshua 1:9 Have
I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord
your God will be with you wherever you go.” We prayed Beau would not get an
infection this time but it goes with the territory when your white count bottoms out. We will not be discourage because
we know God is with Beau. He's with him in the hospital, at home - everywhere. God is taking care of our little
warrior so we will not be discourage or terrified of the days ahead. God is still in control. We praise you and
thank you Lord for all you are doing in Beau's life. We praise you and thank you for taking care of Beau, mommy
and daddy. Please pray the antibiotics kick in quick and knock the infection down so Beau can go home the first of the
week. Please pray he has an appetite so he will eat well. And, please pray that the chemo is continuously working
to kill the tumors. Thanks for all your prayers and sweet messages. God Bless!! Love Grammy

Beau Returns to the HospitalGood evening all! Beau went in for his scheduled visit
to the clinic this morning to have his counts checked. He had a fever a little over 100 and his counts had almost bottomed
out so they started him on antibiotics while he was in the clinic and he checked back into the hospital about noon today.
They cultured his blood and will continue with antibiotics and fluids. His counts were at the low normal range on Tuesday
and everything was ok then so hopefully if an infection was trying to start they caught it in time. We're praying
he will be able to go home by the first of the week. He can take antibiotics as home. He had a good day yesterday
and even went outside with Grandad Miller last night by himself. Mommy didn't have to go with them. He was
a little grumpy today but that was probably because of the fever. He said go home go home when we left the clinic this morning.
When we got to the entrance of the Children's Hospital he started hollering no no go home. He didn't want to
go back in. He wasn't too happy once we got him to the room and they were trying to do vitals and weigh him. He
had a 2 yr old tantrum but finally quieted down and fell asleep. Mommy had an appt. so Ma came to stay with him He was
asleep when mommy left. I talked to Jen late this afternoon and he was doing ok. His fever started back up after the
tylenol wore off so they gave him some more. Lets pray they have a nice quiet night tonight. Hebrews 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.......
Beau had a good week at home. He's felt good, been able to play and do some things,
and was able to rest in his own bed. We pray this is just a little bump in the road and the antibiotics will kick in
and do it's job and he will be able to go home by the first of the week. He's been eating some and still receives
his TPN at night. We pray he will continue to ask for food and will eat so his body will be nourished and will continue
to grow and gain weight. We will continue to keep our eyes on the Lord, have faith and trust that He continues to hold
Beau tight in his arms and that healing is taking place in his little body even as you read this. Pray for God's
grace and mercy on mommy and daddy. Thank you Lord for bringing this precious little boy into our lives. He has
given us so much joy and has shown us what a true warrior is. God Bless!! Love Grammy

Beau's Doing WellGood morning all!! Sorry I didn't get an update posted
last night but Grammy was tired and turned in early. Beau is doing well. He had a quiet day yesterday. Mommy
took him to Ma's house yesterday morning so she could run some errands and get some early Christmas shopping done - yes
Christmas shopping. Beau and Ma always feed the birds and read books while he's there. I didn't talk to
Jen last night but I'm sure he had a great day. He was feeling good yesterday morning. Jen said the first
thing he said yesterday morning was Kayla, Grammy, golf cart go ride. She was able to put him off until they left the
house. The plans today are to just hang around the house because we know his counts are continuing to drop. They
will go to the clinic tomorrow morning to get this counts checked and mostly likely have a blood transfusion. Prayerfully
this time his counts will shoot back up once they bottom out. Psalm 9:1-2 I will thank you,
Lord, with all m heart; I will tell of all athe marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of
you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. We have so much to be thankful for. Beau
is here with us, he's been having fun and spending time with his family. What more could you ask for. I want to share
with you what Amy,the videograher who made the trip with the 7 dads on the Loneliest Road Campaign wrote. Then what Amy St.
John wrote. Please pray for all kids with cancer especially kids with neuroblastoma and if your heart is so touched
please go to the Loneliest Road Campaign link on this website and make a donation. God Bless!!
Monday
October 1
My trip is over and yet I feel a whole new one beginning. Before Sept. 10th,
I, like the rest of the country, was completely ignorant to a deadly cancer called Neuroblastoma. I didn’t know it killed 80% of its victims. I didn’t know these precious babies suffer through weeks, months and
even years of dreadful treatments that make them sick before hopefully making them better. I didn’t know these amazing
parents had to hear a doctor say he could help their children if only he had the money. No one would stand for that. Not a
doctor, not a politician, not a pharmacist, NO ONE. I pray every night that we find that person who won’t stand for
it either. We need someone who wants to see their money working. And you will. If you invest in this campaign you will see
returns on that investment you could never see in the stock market. You can go to Sea World and meet Sydney, the dolphin trainer.
Once a little girl fighting for her life everyday, now a young woman who accomplished her childhood dream of swimming with
dolphins. There can be nothing more fulfilling in life than knowing you saved a child and made her dreams come true.
To Randy, Kevin, Alec, Michael, Vander, Rick and Richard, it is hard to find the words that truly express how blessed I
feel to have met you all. I know how lucky I am that this trip kind of fell into my lap. Thank you so much for letting me
into your lives. For teaching me how to find a strength within myself I may never have known to exist. I know you heard the
word hero a lot on this trip. Know that it was not used lightly. What you did took a courage that you don’t find in
many men. It took the strength and bravery of a father determined to protect his young and see that no other parent feels
the agony of helplessness. Heroes. Love you all, see you soon, Amy
Amy St. John I think people
are afraid to face a child in pain or a child dying. But if people cannot see this and stop hiding from the truth we will
never find a cure for these kids. I recently read another entry by Dawn Runde, who has lost her wonderful little boy James
to this cancer just a little over 2 weeks. For those strong who want to read it.. www.caringbridge.org/visit/jamesrunde. It truly ripped my heart out reading how she held his lifeless body without all the IV tubes and his central line (port)
accessed. this makes me want to run... Grab Codey and run run as fast as I can away from the pain and the often lingering
thoughts of death. I know it would be easier to ignore the pain and death that is associated with way to many kids and families.
To many little lives plucked from their parents arms. And when society decides to stop hiding from this very realistic pain
and loss... It is then that we will have means to possible cure Childhood Cancer or at least prolong their little lives. This
will never ever be over for us. Even thou Codey is considered NED, we do have very scary scans coming up in NOV. the further
away we get from that last round of antibodies the scary it gets. And then 3 months after that once Dr. Kushner gives us the
thumbs up. The everyday worry of relapse will be haunting us everyday of our lives. Again, Please if you haven't
passed the word around, please help us by getting these donations in to www.loneliestroad.org Amy was right... Imagine the investment outcome on that donation... truly "priceless"

Beau Has Good Day at the ClinicBeau went into the clinic this morning to get his counts
checked and they were low but in the normal range of low. Probably by tomorrow or the next day they will be bottoming
out. He goes back into the clinic on Friday to have them checked again. They thought he would need a blood transfusion
today but he didn't so they went ahead and scheduled a room for him in the AMU on Friday mostly likely he will need
one by then. He's been eating some - hotdogs seem to be the thing this week - and he continues to drink his pediasure
and receive his TPN at night. He's rested well at night and has play some during they day. He actually watched "Veggie
Tells" while mommy got a few things done this afternoon. Grammy and Kayla went over again and we all spent an hour
riding in the golf cart around the neighborhood. We road around the yard - they like all the bumps in the yard - and
down to the cul-de-sac. We stopped to visit Mandy and Caleb and Caleb took a spin with us while his mommy got her groceries
in. Tonight Beau and daddy are going to have a guys night while mommy gets some scrapbooking in with a few of her friends.
Tomorrow Beau is going to stay with Ma for a while so mommy can get some errands done and a few things around the house accomplished.
They plan to stay close to home on Thursday and go back to the clinic on Friday. As Kayla says, Beau had a good day
today. Psalm 3:3-4 But you are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me and life
up my head. To the Lord I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. As you know,
the last time Beau had chemo his own germs attacked him and caused all his problems. He had a mega dose of chemo again
this time so we pray that the Lord will be a shield around and thru Beau's body this week
protecting him from infections and other problems so he can spend some time at home. Being at home in his own environment
is good for him and he needs that time in his own surroundings. Please continue to pray for and lift Beau up to
Lord and pray for complete healing of Beau in such a way that everyone will know it was the Lord that healed him. Then,
just as Hannah did, we will give Beau to the Lord to use in his service. What a testimony Beau will have. Please
continue to pray that he eats well and gains some more weight. He looked good today and acted happy. He was so
content riding in the golf cart. Thank you Lord for all the wonderful people that keep praying for Beau, that continue
to do things for Beau and his family, and for all the wonderful messages left on his website. A special thank you to
Angel Melinda your daily sweet messages mean so much. It's so awesome knowing that all the members of Angel Wings
are lifting Beau up daily. God Bless and have a great evening. Love, Grammy

Beau Has a Good DayGood Evening All!! Beau had fun at the river yesterday
hitting golf balls and riding in the golf cart. When he got home, he was tired and wanted to "get in the bed".
Jennifer got him settled in but did not hook up his TPN because it was cold and she was letting it warm up. Beau kept
patting the pillow and saying something. Jen finally said do you want your pump and hook your stuff up and he said yes.
He has gotten so used to having it when he's home and he knew Jen had not hooked it up. He's 27 months and knows
the routine - to him it's normal. It's hard to believe he's so smart and can remember stuff like that.
Then out of the blue he asked for a hotdog so mommy fixed him one and he ate about 6 bites. At least he's asking
for things to eat. Daddy's boss David has a cool golf cart he uses at the river. He brought it over last night
so Beau would have it to ride around the neighborhood in. It's a cool burgundy color with flames painted on it.
They didn't tell Beau because they knew he would want to go ride then and it was dark. Kayla and I went over there
this afternoon and we rode and rode around the neighborhood. I believe Beau would have ridden for hours but he didn't
fuss when we stopped because we were going riding in the car. That boy does love to ride in the car and in the golf cart.
Tonight Beau is at Grandad & Grandma Miller's helping to celebrate Uncle Josh's birthday. He and mommy will
go to the clinic tomorrow to get his counts checked. Joshua 1:5 ...As I was with Moses,
so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. In times like this, it's
so comforting to know that God will always be with us. Jennifer and Parham would never leave Beau they will always be
there for him just as God will always be there for all three of them - for all of us. Please pray that the chemo is
killing the tumors, that Beau's white count will drop and shoot back up this time instead of staying low for so many days,
that he will continue to eat and ask for food so he can grow strong. Pray that he will stay healthy enough to stay home
until it's time to go to Chapel Hill. It would be so wonderful to have the next few weeks at home. Thanks
so much for your prayers. We love you all!! God Bless!! Love, Grammy
