Beau's CT Scan Results & SurgeryGood evening all! Beau had his CT scan early yesterday
morning. He did well and they were home by lunch time. Jennifer heard from Dr. Grossi's office today.
The tumors have shrunk about 1/3 since the last scan. Beau had a CT scan after the 1st round of chemo in this new protocol.
The tumors (3 pieces) had shrunk about 1/3 after that first round. He has had 3 rounds since then. There is a
small piece close to the esophagus, a piece close to the pancreas and the piece around the aorta. Dr.Grossi conferred
with Dr. Pence (surgeon) and he felt he could remove some of the pieces we assume the one close to the esophagus and the one
close to the pancreas. The surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday. Jennifer said they won't know any details
until they actually talk to Dr. Pence. Beau goes into the clinic on Friday for blood work to get his counts check. They
will find out then when they will check back into the hospital. She assumes they will check into the hospital on Tuesday. We
don't know yet what time his surgery will be on Wednesday. Jeremiah 29: 11 For I know the
plans I have for you, declares the Lord,....My first thought when Jennifer told me was I sure
hate for my little buddy to have to go thru surgery again. But, then I thought, if Dr. Pence can get the pieces
close to the pancreas and esophagus they won't be there to grow back. That would only leave the one piece and the
next two rounds of chemo could kill it off. Beau is strong and a warrior. His angels will be encamped around him
in surgery on Wednesday watching over him. He will get over this hurdle just like he has all the rest. As Beau's
Bible verse says God knows the plan he has for Beau. We don't know what that plan is but God knows and that
is all that is important. We will continue to trust and have faith in God. Here is a little prayer that Sue Richards
wrote and it's very appropriate for this time. Thank you, Father, for having plans
for my life. Not just when things are going great, but especially for having plans when life calls for a change, and
you are there showing me the path you have chosen just for me. Amen. Please pray
that Beau will continue to eat well over the next few days so he can gain a little weight and be ready for his surgery next
week. Please pray that his counts will be good on Friday. Pray for Dr. Pence and the surgical team and for Beau's
surgery next week. Thanks to all for your continue prayers. Please continue to pray over the next few weeks.
Our little warrior will need these prayers as will his mom and dad. God Bless!! love, Grammy

Beau Goes to the BenefitHello all!! Beau got to go to the Benefit that was
held in his honor yesterday. He had a little fever during the night but was ok yesterday morning so he got to go stay
for the morning. He played with his golf boll and club he brought, picked out the things he wanted at the silent auction,
played with family members and after awhile wanted mommy to hold him. Everyone was glad to see him and I think he enjoyed
himself. Daddy picked him up around lunch and he went home and rested for the afternoon. The benefit
was a huge success. It will be several days before they know the final count but Kelly feels sure they met their goal
which was 5,000. We pray it was more. The money will be sent in Beau's honor to the Children's Neuroblastoma
Cancer Foundation where research is on-going everyday to find a cure for this disease. Thanks go out to Aunt Kelly and
Grandma Miller for all their hard work in putting the benefit togehter. They did a wonderful job. Thanks also goes
out to everyone that volunteered their help yesterday, Grandad Miller who cooked hotdogs, Uncle Bryan (who sat in front of
the computer all day long monitoring on-line bids), Amber for monitoring on-site bids, G-Paw for helping Grandad Miller cook
hotdogs, Cheryl for wrapping and selling hotdogs, Uncle Josh, Aunt Nikki and Ashley for helping with last minute bids.
Thanks also to those who sent baked goods to sale. Grammy chased Beau around and helped where needed. Ma also helped
chase Beau around in the morning so mommy could scrapbook. Jen needed this day of scrapbooking and socializing with
her friends. I think all the ladies that came and scrapbooked for the day had a wonderful time. They talked and worked
on their favorite pasttime while raising money for neurblastoma research. Thanks to everyone that came out and ate
hotdogs with us for lunch. We got to see some old friends that we haven't seen in a long time and met some folks
that have been praying faithfully for Beau all these months. Thanks also goes out to all the wonderful businesses that donated
some wonderful items. The auction went very well. Thanks to everyone that put in bids and congratulations to all
who won. Grammy bought her 1st 2 Christmas presents. We pray researchers will one day soon find a cure for this
disease so future children won't have to go thru what Beau and so many others have had to endure. Psalm
3:3 But you are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me and life up my head. To the Lord I cry aloud, and he answers
me from his holy hill. I believe God has been holding Beau in his loving arms - like a
shield - all these months. I believe God's angels assigned to Beau stand guard outside his hospital room and around
his bed everytime he his there. God is taking care of his little lamb and He will continue to do so. We his family
must continue to be strong and have faith and trust in the Lord. We believe God will heal Beau so we must continue to
act that way and show we DO believe and trust in God's timing. Please start today and pray without ceasing that
Beau's CT scan tomorrow will reveal the tumors are gone. Pray Beau will continue to eat and drink well and will
gain back the other 2 lbs he lost (he's gained one) and will puton a few more pounds. Please pray for peace and
strength for Jennifer and Parham tomorrow as they wait to hear the results of the CT scn. Thanks to everyone for their
continued prayers. We love you all!! God Bless! Love, Grammy

BEAU GOES HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PRAISE THE LORD - Beau went home this afternoon.
He had some fever last night and a low grade one today. They redid his blood work and everything was still negative
and his counts were ok. He has a very runny nose now and appears to be cutting a few new teeth. We think it has
been a combination of a viral bug, runny nose and teeth. Dr. Grossi said "go home" and if his fever gets above
the acceptable level call me. I think he and mommy were both getting tired of the room. So, we did laps around the nurses
station this afternoon; however, he didn't want to walk or ride he wanted mommy to carry him. We finally got him
packed up to leave about 3:30 today. Dr. Grossi said she could give him some triaminic or benadryl for his
cold so she started him on that and tylenol when they got home. It seemed to be helping and he ate some pizza for
supper and a few MM's. If his fever stays down tonight and he is feeling well in the morning, he will get to go
to the benefit for awhile. Grammy will bring him back to her house if he needs a morning nap then we can go back to
the benefit for a hotdog lunch. We are so glad he was able to go home today. He has to report back to the hospital
at 7 am on Monday for his CT scan; however, he won't have to stay. Once they read the scan and see how things are,
then they will know what the next step will be. Job 42 1-2 Then Job replied to the Lord; "I
know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted." It's easy
to think why Lord, why has Beau had to spend the better part of 3 weeks at the hospital? The hard thing is to remember
God does have a plan for Beau's life. We wish the road of life was nice and straight but the reality is it is full
of curves, bumps and hills. We know that God can do all things and His plan is best no matter how much we would like
to change it sometimes. So often we get impatient and want to hurry things along but God's timing is never
too early or never too late. These last three weeks have reminded us that we must have patience, we must continue to
have faith and trust in the Lord. Beau continues to be our little warrior and continues to show us how strong he is.
He is truly an amazing little boy. He continues to touch lives everyday. We - his family - are so blessed.
Thank you for the prayers over the last few days. Please continue to pray that we will get a good report from his CT
scan. Pray that the fever is gone for good by tomorrow and his appetite will really increase over the next few days.
Thank you Lord for your many blessings and for all the wonderful people all across our great state and country that continue
to pray for Beau each day. God Bless!! Love, Grammy

Beau's Fever is Being StubbornWell folks - Beau has one stubborn fever. He did
well yesterday afternoon. His fever stayed down then it spiked back up during the night to 102. He did drink
his pediasure yesterday and ate a little. We had hoped he would be able to go home this afternoon and it looked like
he would for awhile. They were making sure he was drinking and his fever was staying down. He had drunk 3 cans
of pediasure. Well, the next thing we knew it had gone back up. They gave him tylenol and within 30 mins the fever
was back down. I took him (yes I finally got to go see him) some nuggets and fries. He ate a little of both. He
was walking around in the hall outside his room (I think they were getting a little stir crazy). They took a mask you wear
over your mouth and made a hat out of it and he was wearing it on top his precious bald head. He thought it was funny.
His color looked good and he was playing with some bubbles the "bubble lady" brought him. One of the staff
members there always brings him a small bottle of bubbles when she comes to check on him. I talked to Jennifer about
9:30 and his fever was back up a little. I guess tomorrow will be another wait and see day. Psalm
4:1 Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress (fever); be merciful to me and
hear my prayer. Please continue to pray that Beau's fever will once and for all get
down to normal and stay there. They still say it's probably a viral bug. Apparently there is a viral bug going
around. We continue to pray the chemo has knocked those tumors down and he will get a good report after his scan on Monday.
Please pray for Jennifer and Parham. They have spent the better part of three weeks at the hospital and that's not
an easy thing to have to do especially when you are working full-time (like daddy) and trying to squeeze in your workdays
as mommy is doing. They really need some time at home. While you are praying, please pray for Brook. She's
a young lady (teenager) that has leukemia and Jennifer and Beau have become friends with her. She has been
there going on 4 weeks this time. She and her family could use some extra prayers. And, please give
your kids, spouse and loved ones an extra hug and tell them how much you love them. In the end all that really
matters is your family. Don't take them for granted. Will keep you update. As always, thanks so much for
your prayers, love and support. God Bless!! Love, Grammy

Beau's Still at the HospitalGood Wednesday evening all!! Our little Beau Diddley
is still at the hospital. His fever got up to 102 last night but meds brought it down. Jennifer said he slept
pretty well. Grandma Miller stayed with him today. Mommy popped in and checked on him when she could. He
had a long nap today but Grandma said they had a good day. So far, praise the Lord, nothing is growing in his cultures.
That is a good thing. He's kept some fever today around 100 but if the fever goes down and nothing has grown in
his cultures he will be able to go home tomorrow. His counts (white and red) were good. Time will tell.
The air conditioning in their room wasn't working right so a maintenance main came in with a ladder and screw driver
and went to work. Beau really enjoyed watching him. He kept saying ladder, screwdriver, fix it. I wanted
him to tell me about t when I called him tonight but he was tired and didn't want to talk to me. I haven't
seen him this week and I really miss him. Grammy has a sinus infection and Kayla has bronchitis so we can't visit
him. He wouldn't talk to me but when Jennifer asked him if he wanted Kayla to call him tomorrow he said yessssss!!!
Psalm 106:1 Praise the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
We give thanks to the Lord today - our little warrior's cultures haven't grown anything
and that is great. We pray that nothing will grow so he can go home soon. We pray the fever goes down and stays
down. We pray for a good nights sleep for all of them. We thank God for another day with our family. Beau is very
lucky to have such a large family here who loves and supports him. We are blessed to have such a wonderful little one to love.
Thanks to all for your prayers. Please check out the silent auction page there are a lot of nice things there.

Beau Returns to the HospitalGood evening all! Our little warrior had to return
to the Children's Hospital this afternoon. He woke up from his nap with a fever of about 100.8. Anytime it
goes over 100.5 they have to call the doctor. He said to bring him back to the hospital so Parham picked him up from
Ma's house and took him to the hospital. Jennifer met them on the floor and made sure all was ok and she went back
to work. He has a very runny nose and acts like he feels bad. They drew blood and are culturing his blood
and they started him on fluids. I talked to her about 8 pm and they haven't heard anything and probably won't
until tomorrow. Mommy has to work tomorrow so Grandma is going to stay with him. We pray he won't have to stay long.
Psalm 121: 1-2 I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the
Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. My first thought when Jen called to say Beau was back
at the hospital was on no not again. Our little warrior has been in the hospital most of the last two weeks. But when
I stopped and thought about it all, he has been very fortunate during the last 8 months and we are blessed that he hasn't
had to be there more than he has. He has shown us what a tough little guy he is and he will get over this hurdle as
well. Please pray they will figure out what is causing the fever so he can get on the right meds and get the fever down
quickly. We pray he will be able to get back home this week and will be strong enough to go to his benefit for a little
while on Saturday. Thank you Lord for taking care of our little warrior. We are blessed that he has so many
grandparents here who can help take care of him. It is a joy to spend time with him. As always, thanks for your
continued prayers. God Bless!! Love, Grammy

Beau Goes to the ClinicGood Evening!! Beau had a pretty good day today.
He went into the clinic this morning. His white count was low but they think it bottomed out and has
started back up. His red cell count was ok but they expect it will be at it's lowest by Friday. He goes back
in on Friday to have them rechecked. He has gained a pound back thank the Lord. He ate a few bites of pizza for
lunch. He is drinking about 4 cans of pediasure a day so that is good. Jen said he was doing good. She has
to work the next two days so he will be staying with Ma tomorrow and Grandma and I are splitting up Wednesday. Hebrews 13-6 So we say with confidence, "The
Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.... So many people continue to pray each day for Beau.
We know with confidence God hears and He is taking care of our little warrior. We pray that Beau's appetite will
increase this week and he will eat more. We pray his red cell count won't go so low. If it does, he will go
in on Friday for a blood transfusion. We pray that Jennifer will have two good days at work and Beau will do well staying
with his "grandmas", Thank you Lord for all you continue to do in Beau's life and in his family's
life. We have been so blessed thru this all. And, as always, thanks to everyone for their continued prayers and messages.
They are so appreciated. God Bless!! Love, Grammy .

Beau Goes HomeGood morning all! Beau went home yesterday (Sat.)
He still had some dirty diapers on Friday and ate just a little but Ma said he was in good spirits during the day. They went
to the playroom and read books. He did well enough during the day Friday and Friday night they let him go home
yesterday. I talked to Jennifer last night and he hadn't eaten anything much but had been drinking his pediasure and it
had stayed down. They just rested yesterday afternoon and went with daddy to feed the dogs. They will take it
easy again today and go into the clinic tomorrow to get his counts checked. This is the time frame after the chemo when
his counts usually drop. Beau continues to ne our little warrior. Isaiah 40:29 He
gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Beau
continues to amaze us with his strength and courage. God has sustained him and his family We didn't want him to
have to spend 2 weeks in the hospital but life throw us curves that we have to deal with. We pray now that he is home
he will get his appetite back and will eat and gain those pounds back. We want him to be strong and feeling good so
he can go to his benefit this coming Saturday. He has his tests a week from Monday to determine how the chemo has done
this time. We continue to pray the chemo has wiped out the tumor this time and it is gone. We praise and thank
God for all he continues to do in our little warrior's life. We continue to thank God for all the wonderful people out
there that continue to pray for our precious little one. God Bless!!! Love, Grammy

Beau Goes to the PlayroomPraise the Lord Beau got to get out of his room yesterday
and go to the playroom twice. He didn't have as many dirty diapers on Wed. night and although he continued to have
some yesterday there weren't as many and not as bad. They color was changing as well as the consistency so we pray
it's starting to get out of his system. He had a fit for some milk during the night. He seemed hungry.
They gave him some and he kept it down. The doctor told them if he could keep 16 oz. down yesterday they would let him
go home. As of 9:30 last night he had kept everything down. Jennifer is working today and Ma is staying with him
so I haven't seen or talk to them this morning. I pray he did well last night and will be able to go home today.
His color was good yesterday morning and he seemed in a pretty good mood. Jennifer thinks once his tummy feels better and
if he is at home his appetite will pick back up. Prayfully Ma will be able to take him home today. James
5:15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well, the Lord will raise him up. Although Beau had this little set back this week with the "gastric thing", he has done well.
Mommy has had to change a lot of nasty smelling diapers but all in all he has done well with it. We know it's because
of the continued prayers that go up for Beau everyday all around the US. Prayer is a powerful thing. God wants
his children to spend time with him in prayer. He loves for us to talk to him. So many people have been praying for
him and God has listened. God continues to use our little warrior. We pray this gastric thing is on it's last
leg and he will have a speedy recovery from it. We pray he will eat ll and start to gain those pounds back. A
week from tomorrow is the Hope for Beau Beneift and Silent Auction. We pray he will be well and strong and can go to
the event. We know everyone would love to see him. Thanks to everyone for their continued prayers. You are
all Angels to Beau's family. We love and appreciate you. Have a very blessed weekend!! Love, Grammy

Beau Continues to Be a Real Warrior!Hello!! Our little warrior is hanging in there but
he just can't seem to get over this gastric stuff he has had since Sunday. He didn't have as many diarrhea diapers
last night as the night before but he is still going. He had three this morning within about an hour. I could
smell him when I started down his hall this morning. He threw up his chocolate milk he drank at dinner last night. He
had pediasure this afternoon and ended up throwing it up so they've told Jen not to give him milk or pediasure.
He can have pedialite and other liquids. Later this afternoon he went several times in 30 min. but so far tonight
he's not gone quite as much. His little system just can't seem to get over this. They said it normlly takes
about 7 days for this type of thing to get out of a child's system. Beau isn't "normal" right now
so it may take longer for him to get over it. His color looked pretty good this morning despite his diarrhea problem.
He hasn't been out of the room since he got there. Jen has only left for a few minutes a couple of times.
Please pray this ends soon so he can get back to eating and drinking like he is supposed to. Mathew
17:20...if you have faith as small as a mustard seed... No matter what the circumstances
we must continue to have faith. Faith that Beau will get over this gastric problem, faith he will eat and grow strong,
faith he will be healed. Faith and patience. Two things we must always be strong in. Jennifer was supposed
to go to work tomorrow but someone called and asked her to switch with them so she will work on Friday instead. God
was looking out for Beau. He knew he needed his mommy with him tomorrow. We pray by Friday he will be much better
and won't mind his mommy being at work. His Ma will stay with him on Friday. Thanks for your continued prayers
on Beau's behalf. Even though he's had this gastric problem he has tolerate the situation very well. Mommy
is just tired of changing smelly diapers. God Bless everyone for their love and support. Love, Grammy

Beau Our WarriorGood evening everyone! Beau has had a couple of rough days
but has continued to be our little warrior. The diarrhea has continued. Jen said they changed 11 diapers
last night. She changed 8 from about 10 this morning until 2 this afternoon. The nurses were teasing them.
They said they knew when Beau had a dirty diaper because they could smell it all the way out at the nurses station even with
the door shut. It really did smell bad. Whatever it was that has cause this must be pretty bad to smell like it
has. They hated to give him something for the diarrhea because they wanted whatever it was to get out of his
system. But, finally about 5:30 today they gave him something. His little bottom was getting so red. The
medicine has helped. He has only had one dirty diaper since then. and it had a little more consistency to it.
They let him have some liquids today and he's tolerated those well. He hasn't thrown up any today so that is
good. He's just laid around and watched TV and napped. He never ceases to amaze me. He is such
a trooper. We don't know how long he will be in the hospital. They will just go day by day until
he is well. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your
own understanding. We don't know what has made Beau
sick. But we know God has been holding him close in his arms. We know God has watched over him and taken care
of him over these last 8 months. We know God will continue to watch over him and take care of him in the months ahead.
We placed Beau in God's hands 8 months ago and we have trusted Him to take care of our little warrior. After all,
Beau is God's child - God is his heavenly Father. He loves him more than we do. Please pray that
the diarrhea will stop and that Beau will be able to eat some solid food tomorrow. He needs to eat so he can gain
those 3 lbs back and then some. We can never say thank you enough for the continued prayers. They mean so much
to all of Beau's family. God Bless!! Love, Grammy

Beau Returns to the HospitalGood evening all!! Beau was re-admitted to the Children's
Hospital today around noon. He continued to have diarrhea and was throwing up off and on this weekend. Jen called and
talked to Dr. Grossi yesterday and they decided to give him his nausea meds yesterday and see how he was doing this morning.
Things had not improved so she took him into the clinic first thing this morning. They gave him fluids for a couple
of hours and decided to re-admit him so they could give him fluids by IV. He had lost about 3 lbs. since last week. They did
let him have some pedialite this afternoon. He slept for a couple of hours. Ma stayed with him while Jennifer
went home to change (he threw up on her) and pack a few things. He was just resting when we called about 7 tonight but he
did feel like talking to Kayla. As soon as they get him back on track, he will be able to go back home. Hopefully in
a day or two. They have scheduled his CT scan for July 30. We will know then how well these rounds of chemo have
worked. Psalm 27:5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide
me in the shelter of his tabernacle. Beau may have hit a few bumps in the road over the
last few days but God continues to hold him close in His arms. He will see him safely thru this. Please pray that
the diarrhea and throwing up will stop. Pray that he won't get dehydrated and pray that his appetite will come back
and he will be able to eat and drink so he can gain those lbs. back. We thank God for watching over him this weekend.
And, please continue to pray and believe the cancer will be gone when they do the CT scan. Thanks so much to everyone
for your prayers. Please take a minute to check out the silent auction items. GOD BLESS!!! Grammy

Beau Goes HomeGood afternoon all. Our little warrior went home
today. They still don't have the results back about his yucky bowel movements. He has had a couple of them
today. If they come back positive, he will be started on antibiotics at home. He will start his GCSF today and
will be taking a couple of other meds at home as well. He goes back to the clinic on Friday to have his counts checked.
Dr. Grossi told us they will do a CT scan in two weeks. He has already talked with Dr. Pence (surgeon) and if they see
anything that can be removed they will do so, then he will have his last round of chemo here before going to UNC. If they
don't see anything (we believe the cancer is gone), then he will have one more round of chemo here then he will go to
UNC for his really high dose of chemo and stem cell transplant. So that is where we stand right now medically speaking.
Beau was ready to go home today. Jennifer got his clothes out and told him he was going home today, wo he decided that he
would put on his hat and started to put his clothes on by himself. He got his pants on his feet and tried to put
his shirt on over his hat and his gown. He was so determined to get dressed that Jennifer went ahead and dressed
him. Jen told him as soon as Miss. Felicia came and unhooked his fluids that he could leave. He started trying
to take off his fluids himself. He was determined to get out of there. As soon as she got everything
disconnected, he got down, grabbed his crayons and coloring book and pointed to the door and said "Out". I
know he was excited to be back in his house this afternoon. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious
about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Over the next two weeks, lets pray without ceasing that the cancer is gone so Beau won't have to go through
surgery again. We believe these rounds of chemo have knocked it out and have kept it from growing. Beau has been such
a different child over the last few months. Lets pray he will have a good appetite so he can continue to gain weight and grow
strong so he will be ready for his stem cell transplant. We know he has some tough days ahead. We praise and thank
God for all He has done in Beau's life over the last few months. We are so thankful God has been able to use Beau to touch
so many lives. Please pray for a good turnout at the "All day scrapbooking event" and for the silent auction
and that the goal set will be surpassed. There is still a lot of research that needs to be done before Neuroblastoma
is conquered. Beau's family would like to be able to make a nice donation in his honor to help with this research.
All kids with cancer deserve a good quality of life. We continue to thank God for so many wonderful family members and friends
that continue to pray for Beau daily. These prayers have kept Beau and his family strong. God Bless.

Another Day of DiggingHey Everyone, Beau and Grammy have been doing all the updates lately, so I
thought I would do the one for today. Beau has had an okay day today. He started having really bad bowel movements
this afternoon. He has had about 5 in the last 3 hours. I know all poop stinks, but this is like 10 times worse
and is a weird consistency. They have sent a sample to the lab to check for C-Diff. If it comes back positive
the nurse said that they will probably start him on some oral antibiotics. He feels pretty good, just some stomach cramping
at times. We went to the playroom this morning, and the rest of the day we have been watching the guys digging and working
out the window again today. It looks like Beau may take after his Dada, and work in construction. He has been
totally infatuated with watching them work. One on the volunteers from the Playroom, went down and asked if they would
all wave to Beau. So all the workers were out side waving to him this morning. He was waving both hands, banging
on the window and yelling "Hey Buddy" back to them. Well, hope everyone has a great weekend. Hopefully
we will still be able to go home tomorrow, if not hopefully they will be working outside our window again, so we will have
something to keep us occupied. Thanks so much for all the prayers, messages and cards everyone has sent to Beau.
I know we say it all the time, but we really appreciate it! Don't forget about the fundraiser to benefit the Children's
Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation. Check out the Fundraisers page to get more information. Also, check out the Silent
Auction page and email if you would like a number to participate in the auction. There are lots of great items!
God Bless Everyone!!
Love, Jennifer
